Spiritual Warfare
Session 6
I.

OCCULT

The word occult came from Latin word which means

hidden or secret. This refers to the secret or hidden
knowledge about supernatural, paranormal, and even
para-psychological phenomena that are demonic in
nature. All occultic groups are anti- Christian. Rituals are
based on demonic powers and fakery.
Satanism is the core element of the occult. Most of the
remaining occult groups are either forms of Satanism or
are recruiting groups for Satanism.
Deuteronomy 18:10-11 Let no one be among you who
sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices
divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in
witchcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist
or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things
is detestable to the Lord.
1. ACUPUNCTURE - treatment with needles
The treatment of disorders by inserting needles into the
skin at points where the flow of energy is thought to be

blocked meridians. An ancient Chinese medical technique

that involves placing needles into specific areas of the
body. Some doctors believe that the procedure stimulates
natural processes and releases body chemicals that
speed recovery. In the East and in Holistic Medicine the
effects of acupuncture are often given an occult
explanation.
2. ALBULARYO one who practices faith healing through
the use of herbs, chants, and other occult practices.
3. ANTING-ANTING an amulet (a small ornament worn
around the neck) that supposedly protects the one who
wears it from misfortune, disease, evil magic, witchcraft,
demons, physical harm, including gunshots. A common
practice is to have a charm written on or spoken over the
amulet.
4. ANIMAL SACRIFICE the satanic sacrifice of killing or
sacrificing animals to please demonic spirits for a purpose
usually in asking for a favor from the demons.
5. ASTRAL PROJECTION describes an out of the body
travel experience. It is nothing more than a mind trip. It is
the conscious separation of the astral body from the
physical body resulting in an altered state of
consciousness and sometimes in different qualities of
perception.
6. ASTROLOGY a form of fortune telling, or telling the
future by influence of the moon, sun, and stars on human
affairs.

7. AUTOMATIC WRITING - writing that is inspired by a

controlling spirit. An evil spirit guides while a person is in
a trance state and is without conscious control of the
body. The pen moves and writes on the paper but not by
the person holding it.
8. BLACK MAGIC a Magical spell or ritual practiced
with the intention of harming others. It is a belief in
magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to
produce unnatural effects in people or the world.
9. BLOOD COMPACT a mutual agreement made
between two or more people or groups, either formally or
informally, to do something together or for each other.
10. CHANNELING A New Age form of mediumship or
spiritism. The channeler yields control of his perceptual
and cognitive capacities to a spirit entity with the intent
of receiving paranormal information.
11. CLAIRVOYANCE the ability to see beyond ordinary
time and space without using the eye. Also called second
sight.
12. CONSULTING MEDIUM a medium is a person used
by the spirit world to communicate with those who seek
counsel or direction from them.
13. CUTTING SELF IN DESTRUCTIVE WAY self
explanatory
14. CRYSTAL BALL used by a medium to tell fortunes,
supposedly being able to see images of future events
through a ball-shape crystal.

15. EXTRA SENSORY POWER (ESP) is an apparent

power to perceive things that are not present to the
senses. Awareness beyond normal senses: the apparent
ability of some people to become aware of things by
means other than the normal senses, e.g. through
clairvoyance or telepathy.
16. DWENDE a demonic spirit in the form of a dwarf.
17. FAITH HEALING healing outside of the medical
fields with the use of occultic practices.
18. FENG SHUI means wind water; pronounced as
phung schway. It is a part of ancient Chinese philosophy
of nature. It is often identified as a form of geomancy
divination by geographic features. It is mainly concerned
with understanding the relationships between nature and
man so that man might live in harmony with their
environment.
19. FETISHISM (worship of objects) a sexual arousal or
gratification resulting from handling a fetish (or a specific
part of the body other than the sexual organs). It is a
belief in the magical power of fetishes (or the worship of
the fetish). It is an irrational obsession with or attachment
to something.
20. FORTUNE TELLING (Divination) the act of trying to
foretell the future. An augury a potent or omen, the
practice of divination.

21. GAYUMA a potion that can stimulate the desired

effect on another person. A man who desires to be loved
by a woman using the love potion to accomplish his end.
22. GHOSTS supposed spirit of a dead person. The act
of believing in, or talking to a ghost which are
actually deceiving spirits can make you fall prey to
the schemes of demons.
23. GRAPHOLOGY the study of handwriting. It is used
specially in order to assess somebodys personality from
patterns or features of his/her handwriting.
24. HYPNOSIS a state that resembles sleep but is
induced by a hypnotizer whose suggestions are readily
accepted by the subject. The act, practice, or technique
induced in one person by another that makes an
individual highly receptive to suggestion. A change in
consciousness spellbinding, entrancing, fascinating.
25. IRIDOLOGY a diagnosis from examination of the
iris. A technique in alternative medicine by which
diagnosis of various bodily disorders is claimed to be
possible by examination of the fine structure of the iris of
the eye.
26. LATIN ORACION orations or prayer in Latin
devoted to saints. This can also be used like incantations.
27. LEVITATION the rising or lifting of a person or thing
by means of supernatural power.
28. MARTIAL ARTS (?) any of several Oriental arts of
weaponless self-defense; usually practiced as a sport;

origin is most Eastern. Bowing under a master who has

control and authority over them.
29. MATERIALIZATION an appearance in bodily form
as a disembodied spirit (spirit free from the body or from
physical
existence).

that
has
been
materialized; an apparition. To cause a spirit to appear in
visible form.
30. MENTAL SUGGESTION (mind swapping) the
thoughts of one person that can directly affect the
physiology and behavior of a distant person. The ability
of a person to hypnotize and put to sleep hypnotic
subjects that are inside electrically and acoustically
shielded rooms, or even thousands of miles away.
31. MENTAL THERAPEUTICS method of treatment or
healing by mental suggestion. The power of mental
suggestion. Its theory is that the mind, sometimes called
the subjective mind, which controls the involuntary
actions of the bodily organs, can be, and is, influenced by
suggestions from other minds.
32. MIND READING the ability the minds of others.
33. NUMEROLOGY the study of the supposed occult
influence of numbers on human affairs. The study of the
occult use and supposed power of numbers.
34. OUIJA BOARD a game used for fortune telling
through powers to tell the past, present, future
experiences or events. When the board works, you have

tapped into the demonic realm. It is clearly an attempt to

seek guidance and apart from God.
35. PALMISTRY the study and interpretation of the
palm of the hand for the purpose of getting insight into a
persons being or future. Another form of fortune telling.
36. PRANIC HEALING purported ancient science and
art whose modern founder is Choa Kok Sui. A kind of
healing that supposedly uses ki, prana, or vital energy to
heal the whole physical body. It allegedly involves
manipulation of ki and bioplasmic matter. A theory using
acupoints, chakras, meridians (bioplasmic channels), and
a three-layered energy body.
37. PYRAMIDOLOGY a modern pseudo-science which
uses the measurements of pyramids, particularly the
Great Pyramid, as a basis for predictions and the
interpretation of prophecy. It has featured in the growth
of many new religious movements such as British
Israelism.
38. ROD & PENDULUM (Dowsing) divining, questing,
water witching. Purported means of gaining insight into
the diagnosis and treatment of physical and emotional
health problems (radiesthesia). It encompasses forms of
remote diagnosis: one involving a recent photograph of
the subject, another, a stand-in (proxy) for the subject.
Elementary dowsing tools include the forked branch
(divining rod) and the pendulum. Dowsings postulate is
that human thoughts transcend human bodies, species,
and space time as usually conceived.

39. SCIENCE OF THE MIND its natural principle is that

all of us share unlimited access to Mind, the infinite
creative power of the universe. Allegedly the power, a
natural law, can operate only through our own mindsobedient to our expectations, it manifests exactly as we
think and believe. If you desire to change any condition,
give the law new instructions, wrote Ernest Holmes.
Through affirming and accepting the innate excellence of
any circumstances, you supposedly can channel this
generative energy. Our individual welfare rests neither in
our luck nor in our hands but in our minds. A pathway
to well-being: Science of Mind involves affirmation rather
than denial. Disease, for example, is a fact; we need not
deny its existence. As Ernest Holmes wrote in The
Science of Mind, Disease is not a truth. The truths
within Infinite Intelligence include health, abundance,
security, love, peace, and happiness all of which make
up our natural state. Anyone, by claiming those truths
and acting confidently on them, can bring them into
manifestation.
40. SANCE a gathering of people seeking
communication with deceased loved ones or famous
historical figures through a medium.
41. SEXUAL SPIRITS (Incubi and Succubi)
An incubi is a male demon or evil spirit supposed to
descend upon and have sexual intercourse with women
as they sleep. A succubi is a female demon or evil spirit

believed to have sexual intercourse with men as they

sleep.
A situation resembling a terrifying dream or nightmare
that causes depression and worry. An oppressive or
nightmarish burden.
42. SILVA MIND CONTROL developed by Jose Silva. It
claims that any person who will take the course will
develop psychic powers by entering an altered state of
consciousness, tapping into a higher intelligence in the
universe. It functions the physically and clairvoyantly to
invite counselors, or psychic guides into his mind to help
him with his problems and to be able to tap any source in
the universe for the information, including the minds of
other men, dead or alive.
Silva Method also has out-of-body experiences. It uses
visualization and guided imagery quite heavily- both have
been long recognized by sorcerers of all kinds as the most
powerful and effective methodology for contacting the
spirit world in order to acquire supernatural power,
knowledge, and healing.
Its known as shamanism or witchcraft which has been
going on down through history. Yet Silva claims that God
sent Jesus to teach us all of this.
43. SORCERY the use of magic, just like in witchcraft.
44. SPEAKING IN TRANCE the practice of being a
medium of a spirit, supposedly of a dead person. A
person who wants to talk to the dead will use a medium

who will go into a trance so that he can be controlled by

the spirit.
Trance is emptying of the mind or an altered state of
consciousness under the control of a spirit.
45. SPIRIT GUIDE the practice of having a spirit direct
and guide ones life. It usually starts during childhood
when the spirit befriends a person until he/she trusts it in
seeking advice or help in his/her day-to-day affairs.
46. SPIRIT OF THE GLASS communicating with the
dead using the movement of a glass over a board that
contains the letters of the alphabet.
47. TABLE LIFTING the occultic use of the power of the
mind to move or lift objects such as tables.
48. TAROT CARD a form of fortune telling using tarot
cards to tell someones past, present or future. The cards
are considered occultists as symbolic meditative
pathways that can be correlated with the occultic tree of
life.
49. TEA LEAF READING the art of reading tea leaves
is referred to as Tasseomancy. This form of divination is
strongly associated with the Gypsies and the English. The
history of Tasseomancy can be traced back hundreds of
years. During a reading the client drinks a cup of tea but
leaves a small amount in the bottom of the cup. The cup
is turned upside down on a saucer and turned. The reader
picks up the cup and reads the patterns formed by the
tea leaves.

50. TELEKINESIS the power to move something by

thinking about it without the application of physical force;
the supposed psychic power to move or change the
shape of inanimate objects without the use of physical
force.
51. TELEPATHY supposed communication between
minds by means of extra sensory channels.
52. TONING the use of water and various chants for
healing.
53. TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION a technique or a
form of meditation in which a mantra is chanted or
repeated silently, in order to foster calm, creativity, and
spiritual well-being. It is based on Hindu traditions.
54. VISIONARY DREAM Imaginary, not founded on
fact. Able or disposed to see visions affected by fantasies
that are unrealistic and impractical.
55. VISUALIZATION a mental image that is similar to a
visual perception. Its more philosophical. It is aimed at
the Truth of Being- becoming aware of them,
understanding them, and harnessing them. The aim of
the mental imagery throughout is to remind one of how
powerful one is, how far one can reach, and how much
one deserves.
56. WHITE MAGIC the
supposedly for a good purpose.

57. WITCHCRAFT a practice of occultic arts such as

kulam, wiccan-nature worship, and satanic worship. Wicca
is supposedly a good witch.
58. YOGA T.M. literally means yoking or joining. Any
system or spiritual discipline by which the practitioner or
yogi seeks to condition the self at all levels physical,
mental, or spiritual. All yoga forms involve occult
assumptions, even hatha yoga which is often presented
as strictly physical discipline.
II. CULT FALSE RELIGION
A religious group of people who share a system of
religious or spiritual beliefs, especially an informal and
transient belief system regarded by others as misguided,
unorthodox, extremist, or false, and directed by a
charismatic, authoritarian leader.
The idolization of somebody or something an
extreme or excessive admiration for a person, philosophy
of life, or activity. Often used before a noun, such as the
cult of youth, a cult hero, etc.
Fad something popular or fashionable among a devoted
group of enthusiasts which has taken on a cult status.
CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY system of supernatural
beliefs. A body of organized practices and beliefs
supposed to involve interaction with and control over
supernatural powers.

SOCIOLOGY elite group, a self-identified group of

people who share a narrowly defined interest or
perspective.

Heavenly Father, I come to You as Your child,

name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

WARFARE PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I bow in worship and praise
before you. I cover myself with the blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ as my protection during this time
of prayer.
I surrender myself completely and reserved in
every area of my life to Yourself. I do take a stand
against all the workings of Satan that would hinder
me in this time of prayer, and I address myself only
to the true and living God and refuse any
involvement of Satan in my prayer.
Satan, I command you, in the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ, to leave my presence with all your
demons, and I bring the blood of the Lord Jesus
Christ between us!
Heavenly Father, I worship You, and I give You
praise. I recognize that you are worthy to receive
all glory and honor and praise.
I renew my allegiance to You and pray that the
blessed Holy Spirit would enable me in this time of
prayer.

I am thankful, heavenly Father, that You have loved

me from past eternity, that You sent the Lord Jesus
Christ into the world to die as my substitute that I
would be redeemed.
Heavenly Father, come and open my eyes that I
might see how great You are and how complete
Your provision for this new day.
I do, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, take my
place with Christ in the heavenlies with all
principalities and powers (powers of darkness and

I am thankful that the victory the Lord Jesus Christ
won for me on the Cross and in His resurrection
has been given to me and that I am seated with
the Lord Jesus Christ in the heavenlies.
Therefore, I declare that all principalities and
powers and all wicked spirits are subject to me in
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am thankful for the armor You have provided, and
I put on the girdle of truth, the breastplate of
righteousness, the sandals of peace, the helmet of
salvation.
I lift up the shield of faith against all the fiery darts
of the Enemy, and take in my hand the sword of
the Spirit, the Word of God, and use Your Word

against all the forces of evil in my life; and I put on

this armor and live and pray in complete
dependence upon You, blessed Holy Spirit.
I am grateful, Heavenly Father, that the Lord Jesus
Christ spoiled all principalities and powers and
made a show of them openly and triumphed over
them in Himself.
I claim all that victory for my life today. I reject out
of my life all the insinuations, the accusations, and
the temptations of Satan.
I affirm that the Word of God is true, and I choose
to live today in the light of Gods Word. I choose,
Heavenly Father, to live in obedience to You and in
fellowship with Yourself.
Open my eyes and show me the area of my life that
I must deal with so that I would please You. Work
in my life that there be no ground to give Satan a
foothold against me.
Show me any area of weakness. Show me any area
of my life that I must deal with so that I would
please You. I do in every way today stand for You
and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life.
By faith and in dependence upon You, I put off the
old man and stand into all the victory of the

Crucifixion where the Lord Jesus Christ provided

cleansing from the old nature.
I put on the new and stand into all the victory of
the Resurrection and the provision He has made
for me there to live above sin.
Therefore in this day, I put off the old nature with
its selfishness, and I put on the new nature with its
love. I put off the old nature with its fear and I put
on the new nature with its courage. I put off the
old nature with its weakness and with all its
deceitful lusts and I put on the new nature with all
its righteousness and purity.
I do in every way stand into the victory of the
resurrection and the glorification of the Son of God
where all principalities and powers were made
subject to Him, and I claim my place in Christ
victorious with Him over all the enemies of my
soul.
Blessed Holy Spirit, I pray that You would fill me.
Come into my life, break down every idol, and cast
out every foe.
I am thankful, Heavenly Father, for the expression
of Your will for my daily life as You have shown me
in Your Word. I therefore claim all the will of God
for today.

I am thankful that You have blessed me with all

spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
Jesus. I am thankful that You have begotten me
unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead.
I am thankful that You have made a provision so
that today I can have life filled with the Spirit of
God with love and joy and self-control in my life.
And I recognize that this is Your will for me, and I
therefore reject and resist all the endeavors of
Satan and of these demons to rob me of the will of
God.
I hold up the shield of faith against all the
accusations and against all the insinuations that
Satan would put in my mind.
I do, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
completely surrender myself to You, Heavenly
Father, as a living sacrifice. I choose not to be
conformed to this world.
I choose to be transformed by the renewing of my
mind, and I pray that You would show me Your will
and enable me to walk in all the fullness of the will
of God today.

I am thankful Heavenly Father, that the weapons of

our warfare are not of the flesh, but might through
God to the pulling down of strongholds, to the
casting down of imaginations and every lofty thing
raised up against the knowledge of God, and to
bring every thought into obedience to the Lord
Jesus Christ.
Therefore, in my own life today I tear down the
strongholds of Satan, and I smash the plans of
Satan that have been formed against me. I tear
down the strongholds of Satan against my mind,
and I choose to think my thoughts after You,
blessed Holy Spirit.
I affirm Heavenly Father, that You have not given
us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and
of sound mind.
I break and smash the strongholds of Satan formed
against my emotions today, and I give my will to
You, and choose to make the right decisions of
faith.
I smash the strongholds of Satan formed against
my body today, and I give my body to You,
recognizing that I am Your temple; and I rejoice in
Your mercy and Your goodness.

Heavenly Father, I pray that now through this day

You would quicken me; show me the way that
Satan is hindering and tempting and lying and
counterfeiting and distorting the truth in my life.
Enable me to be the kind of person that would
please You. Enable me to be aggressive in prayer.
Enable me to aggressive mentally and to think my
thoughts after You, and to give You rightful place
in my life.
Again, I now cover myself with the blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ and pray that You, blessed Holy
Spirit, would bring all the work of the Crucifixion,
all the work of the Resurrection, all the work of the
Glorification, and all the work of Pentecost into my
life today.
I yield my life to You. I refuse to be discouraged.
You are the God of all hope. You have proven Your
power by resurrecting Jesus Christ from the dead,
and I claim in every way Your victory over all
satanic forces active in my life; and I reject these
forces.

Today I am stepping across the line. I am tired
of waffling, and I am finish with wavering. Ive
made my choice; the verdict is in; and my decision
is irrevocable. Im going Gods way. Theres no
turning back now!
I will live the rest of my life serving Gods purposes
with Gods people on Gods planet for Gods glory. I
will use my life to celebrate His presence, cultivate
His
character,
participate
in
His
family,
demonstrate His love, and communicate His Word.
Since my past has been forgiven and I have
purpose for living and a home awaiting in heaven, I
refuse to waste any more time, or energy on
shallow living, petty thinking, trivial talking,
thoughtless doing, useless regretting, hurtful
resenting, or faithless worrying. Instead, I will
magnify God, grow to maturity, serve in ministry,
and fulfill my mission in the membership of His
family.
Because this life is preparation for the next, I will
value worship over wealth, we over me
character over comfort, service over status, and

people over possessions, position, and pleasures. I

know what matters most, and I will give it all I got.
Ill do the best I can with what I have for Jesus
Christ today.
I wont be captivated by culture, manipulated by
critics, motivated by praise, frustrated by
problems,
debilitated
by
temptation,
or
intimidated by the devil. Ill keep running my race
with my eyes on the goal, not the sidelines or
those running by me. When time get tough, and I
get tired, I wont back up, back off, back down,
back out or backslide. Ill just keep moving forward
by Gods grace. Im Spirit-led, purpose-driven and
mission-focused, so I cannot be bought, I will not
be compromised, and I shall not quit until I finish
the race.
Im a trophy of Gods amazing grace, so I will be
gracious to everyone, grateful every day, and
generous with everything that God entrusts to me.
To my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I say, however,
wherever and whatever You ask me to do, my
answer in advance is yes! Wherever You lead and
whatever it takes! I want to be used by You in such
a way, that on that final day Ill hear You say, Well
done, thou good and faithful one. Come on in, and
let the eternal party begin.

Heavenly Father:
I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and
in His name bind my body, soul, mind, will,
emotions and spirit to Your will and purposes
for my life. I prepare myself this day with the
Belt of Truth, choosing to believe Your truths
over my own understanding. Bind me to the
Power of the blood of Christ Jesus working in
me to die to self, all self promotion and
ambition and to purpose to know Christ only
and Him crucified.
I take on the Breastplate of Righteousness that
Christ secure for me on the cross, asking You
to forgive me of my sins and to cleanse me
from all unrighteous. Fill me with Your love and
compassion for others including my enemies
that I may love as Christ loves. Work in me,

Father, that all I do this day would reflect my

love for You.
I bind my feet to the paths Youve ordained for
me to walk, shoed with the readiness from the
Gospel of Peace as Your ambassador, alert for
Your divine appointments this day. I surrender
my schedule to You, aware that Im a reflection
of You.
I take up the Shield of Faith demonstrating my
belief and trust in You by acting on the truth of
Your Word to extinguish all of Satans works,
power, effects and influence he wants to bring
against me. In the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ I rebuke his deception, harassment,
accusations, temptations, and plans for me.
Reveal and destroy the lies Ive been believing
as truth and teardown these strongholds by
Your mighty power.
Reveal to me my wrong attitudes and
thoughts, Lord, that I may repent and renounce
them and ask Your forgiveness. Loose any
stubborn resistance of my unsurrendered,
manipulative, controlling, fearful soul; wrong
patterns of thinking, unproductive ideas ,
unhealthy desires, incorrect beliefs, unsuitable

habits or morally unacceptable behavior that is

still working within me. With the Fire of Your
Holy Spirit, TEAR DOWN, CRUSH AND DESTROY
every stronghold of my own human reasoning,
pride,
denial,
rationalization,
bitterness,
unforgiveness, anger or self-justification that I
have erected to protect
me while making
others wrong so I can be right. I bind myself to
the ATTITUDES, PATTERNS AND MIND of the
Lord Jesus Christ and the ACTION AND
ATTITUDES of the Holy Spirits love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control.
Protect me with the Helmet of Salvation as I
view all my relationships and circumstances
through the truth of my eternal inheritance
and hope in Christ Jesus.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of
Nazareth Who Came in the Flesh, sever,
destroy, render powerless any original, backup or replacement curses spoken about me, to
me or by me. Destroy any hex, spell or
generational ties with the Fire of Your Holy
Spirit. Fill and encapsulate me this day in the
power and presence of Your Holy Spirit,
covered and strengthened by the blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ. Encamp your warring angels

about me as You protect me from the

adversary and thwart his plans for me this day.
I take up the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of
God, acknowledging my total dependence on
You, Almighty God, as I listen moment-bymoment to Your Spirits promptings and
choose to obey. Now Great Eternal Love, my
