 PREFACE

In the scribing of this dialogue, which seemed at the

time as natural as the modern tongue, there was always
additional material in daily conversation with my Beloved
Brother.

As this *ʻconversationʼ was not in keeping with his

natural rhythm and meter for dictation, some of it has been
added to the back, as ʻA Few Notes on The Textʼ. It seemed
inappropriate to in any way break this rhythm, which was
always given and written without pause.

The text in this dialogue represents, firstly a way to

bridge the way in which we live daily within the “Course”,
and secondly, ways of bringing light, through wishing to
pause from our routine and the all too often chaotic dream of
life.

I had originally sat down to write another

accompanying book, this the third in support of the “Course”,
from what I thought was to be a further comment on how I
had understood it. I discovered that his influence, (Jesus), in
the previous two books was absolute and in this case a more
direct dialogue where he would use the personal ʻIʼ and
collective ʻweʼ in the real sense of a conversation.

In writing this book, I believe that for the first time in

my life, I have experienced complete peace, which now
extends into my life daily, for which I give grace beyond
words to my Beloved Brother.

 This book also contains specific prayers and ideas,
which are part within the text and were part given in
conversation.

These have also been placed at the back of the text for
easy reference.

The body of the text is organic, in the sense that there

were seldom what might be called chapters or headers.

It was recorded in the manner in which it was given

with a date and title, then simply numbered and titled
subsections.

I had often asked what I should call each section, to be

told “You will instinctively know the title when the section is
finished”.

This of course was always the case!

My Brother has a wonderful sense of humour, often

commenting on the ridiculousness of life as we believe it to
be, and a joyousness which is his natural state of being.

In the text he asks many questions, of us the readers,

many tongue in cheek.

You will feel a respect, accompanied often by this

lightness of heart, in them all.

During writing the text, the content was always a

comment about either my own life or for those around me
who were in some way in the belief of their suffering.

It is of course for us all.

Part 1 THE MIRROR

Is it not within your mind that confusion rests?

For deep at its core, that part of you where God resides,
is it not totally at peace?

Yet your reflection is not what you feel when the mirror
returns an image of form that your Being knows not.

Be at peace with your mind, for it is the mirror that

speaks not of eternity but returns only the fear of ageing.

Yet was there not something within you that told you of
your eternal youth?

This sensation you feel is the incontinuity between Self

and what you believe you see in the mirror.

Mind is ageless, yet would your ego have you believe

differently. For in this difference does it have use for your
return from so called death to so called life.

Stand before the mirror and look into your own eyes
and search for your identity.

 You will find none there.

For your reflection is not where you really are.

Fear not this passing moment of uncertainty, for stare a

while longer and you will feel a sense of peace befall you.

It is as if the essence of who you really are, beyond the

mirror's false image that you alone created to prevent the
Peace of God deep within your mind, is looking back and
saying…

"Be at peace for you are not this image".

Stare longer still and you will see a smile appear, as if

knowing that all is well where you reside with God, with the
mirror merely reflecting the illusion of apparent life as you
believe you see yourself.

Part 2 ATTENTION!

All in your life, the mirror included, is merely a matter

of attention. It 'lives' with your ability to manifest it. Yet in all
the things you could choose to manifest, do you choose
constant peace, love or joy?

Are these not the things that you search for, yet
somehow never find?

Instead do you not choose to create the belief in pain,

disharmony and hardship?

Does your wish to have the opposite bring you

continual peace?

 Is this your perceived ability to manifest?

If you believe you are this powerless, why keep trying?

Is it not the knowledge beyond your ego that touches

your heart and would have you turn your attention to
something else?

What will you give your attention to today?

Will it be moments of fear, disheartening feelings, pain

and anxiety?

Or will you choose joy, clarity, peace and love?

Each and every moment is all there is, a fleeting and

brief seeming appearance in your mind.

Imagine you can extend a moment for eternity.

What would you choose to place your attention on

during this unique moment?

Peace, love and joy?

Is it not interesting that you know not to turn your

attention on anything else?

Part 3 CONCEPTUALISM

Worry not upon the concept of eternity, love and life.

Your tiny touch upon the understanding of such things

made of God moves nothing from its place of absolute
perfection, whilst you live within the dream.

Even so, it is recognised by the Holy Spirit as your wish

to return home and Heaven be made known to you.

You are but used to the ever changing, the insecure, the
fear of even life itself. How can you call this "living", when it
is but the pathway to death?

Your awareness of eternity however, escapes you not!

Do you not choose to be reborn again and again,

believing this to be eternity?

Yet eternity is the exact opposite, for its real meaning is

to never change. Even so you are aware of it, even though
your version cannot return you to God, it is within your grasp
to begin to understand.

Move simply your belief, that eternity is reached

through death, to the idea that living is merely transient and
that eternity, when you reach it, would be constant.

Concept is all you are and all you have!

For you are mind and mind is made up of concepts.

Thus you have all you need to make the change from
believing your life to be real and heaven an ethereal place.

For as unworldly as heaven appears, so is equally unreal

the illusion you make for yourself and your perception of the
world.

 For where you believe that you exist is thus an illusion
made by your belief that heaven, outside of yourself, is your
salvation.

Where you really are is with God and your place eternal
with Him is Real and is Life.

And so is such a transformation made possible to you

through the only thing that echoes your Reality, mind.

Part 4 YOU ARE BLESSED

You are blessed beyond your recognition, yet you

believe yourself to be cursed, by your ability to conceptualise
all you know.

For turn your mind as a gentle wind sets a sail,

encouraging your belief of knowing what your life really
represents, and the blessings become visible.

Your eyes see not concepts, solely those things that you
believe you have made for yourself, for a concept is of mind
alone.

A mind that creates forms deceives you through its need

to maintain a place of fear within your perception.

Yet too, can this same mind hold long enough the
concepts of change, that eventually enables change to take
place.

Thus are miracles achieved.

Your conceptual mind is blessed.

 In this is there the indication of your ability to know, if
you so choose, the true concept of eternity and life.

Were you not to believe you seek, were you not to

believe you know that there must be something else, would
you find the concept of God and His eternal Love for you
impossible to imagine.

Were you to know not of living, you would know not of

Life with Him.

Were you to know not of love, you would know not of

His Love for you.

For even though you touch upon these things, as that of

a butterfly's wing upon the air, you do know of something, a
calling, a wish to be returned Home, eternal.

These things can you know of in such a way that

concept, although fleeting, is a door pushed part-way open, to
reveal the light shining beyond.

To know of love can only lead you to the Love of your

Father, to the love of your brothers and sisters. To know of
life can only lead you to becoming once again eternal Life,
moving you from the cycle of rebirth and death.

Thus are you blessed!

That something within you calmly speaks of seeking,

that you somehow know of eternal life, even though neither is
attainable within the world you appear to live, are you still
blessed.

You are blessed too by your attempts to understand,

even though they are under attack from your ego, you still
continue.

You are blessed because you seek love, once again to

find it is a diversion from Truth, but you do know of it.

It is forever held in keeping by the Holy Spirit, that you

should know of it.

The knowing of such things were you to turn your

attention within and to the Holy Spirit. Thus is "The Bridge”
made for you...

Beyond me is where I really am

Beyond the world that I see
For I am not of the world

Nor my brother nor my sister

My ability to know this

Thus leads me to my Father's Peace

For should I no longer question or seek it
Will it be made known to me of returning Home

For within me does it so reside

I surrender thus to myself all the things I fear
Beyond my present self, by His Grace

For I exist not as I believe

But as a ray of Love
From the eternal Light of my Father

That I too may light the Truth

In the dreams of others
