PricewaterhouseCoopers (trading as PwC) is a multinational professional
services network. PwC is a network of firms in 157 countries with more than
195,400 people. As of 2014 PwC United States is the 5th-largest privately owned
organization in the United States. PwC has offices in 766 locations in 157
countries. The firm was formed in 1998 by a merger between Coopers & Lybrand
and Price Waterhouse. The trading name was shortened to PwC in September
2010 as part of a rebranding.

PwC is a company in the service sector. It provides the following services:
Assurance
Advisory mainly consulting activities which covers Strategy, Performance
Improvement, Transactions Services, Business Recovery Services,
Corporate Finance, Business Valuation, Sustainability and Crisis
Management in a range of specialist areas such as accountancy
and actuarial advisory.
Tax international tax planning and compliance with local tax laws,
customs, human resource consulting, legal services and transfer pricing.

company needs to have. Its mission and vision has been mentioned below.
Mission
PwC mission is to deliver a fair and clarified auditing service, in order to improve
presentation of financial information. And therefore helping the company gain
trust from investors. They follow three main principles which they base their
work on, which are: Integrity, Intelligence and Innovation.
Vision
Through their strong work ethic they hope to gain recognition throughout
the world.
They are looking for people who are professional and able to adapt to the
market in different situations, as well as following the companys work
ethic, to have a leading role in our operations.
All workers are adequate for their job, are knowledgeable and can offer
international expertise.
They apply their best practice in all areas of governance and always
maintain transparency.

PwC has a vertical organisational structure. First comes the CEO, then the
partners (financial services, non financial services or leadership), then the
associate director, senior manager, manger, assistant manager, senior
associates and then the articles.

PwC does not have any particular category of customers. Since it is based on
providing professional services, it caters to individuals as well as clients from all
kinds of industries. Their clients include listed, private and entrepreneurial
companies, government and third-sector organisations as well as private
individuals.
