Motivational Reasons (Problem Identification):


Everyone wants to socialize these days. Human being is a social animal and cannot live deprived
or in seclusion. This triggered the idea to make a private forum exclusive for friends and families
in the beginning, where they could sign up and post, share anything, talk about anything and
everything.
Later on this idea converted to a forum or social media website where people could post and
share as well as request for information on anything that they could not find. Hence the word
Pedia was added to the websites name making it Infospedia meaning a social website as
well as an open forum for information.
Although Facebook is the leader in the social websites genre and is probably going to be
maintainingits position for a while but we still decided to go with this idea as it was started with
the vision to bring together friends and families from the same community. All great ideas start
small so whos to say in the next 5 years, we may take over the social media industry. At least
thats what the vision is.

In the end, social media was the most successful medium as well as our contacts (Friends and
Family), who we used to spread the word about this website so people from all over could visit
and join in. Due to the limited resources it was a difficult task. However, we think it was
managed well considering the time duration we had. The most important aspect was the team
work and coordination between the group members.

1st Spell Results (November 16th to November 27th:


The website was roughly made around 8th November or so. The first official marketing was done
from around November 16th onwards. It was just very minor. We asked our friends and family to
check out the website and give us their input for further enhancements and updates. And for the
first 10 days or so we kept on updating and enhancing the website with various ideas. So the
Statistics are very weak. There was practically no marketing done.

2nd Spell Results (November 28th to December 4th):


We procrastinated the marketing process and did not work proactively on it. Although we did
some marketing using primary mediums like social media (Facebook), text messages and emails
to promote our website. We had about 37 visitors.

3rd Spell Results (December 5th to December 12th):


Apparently due to the deadline we started to work proactively and attract as much traffic as
possible. Our strategy was simply just to have our friends and family and their friends and family
and so on post on the website and share anything that they would want to, as that was the
purpose of a social media/open forum website. The last week was very fruitful for us as we got
about 338 visitors which were way more than the amount of visitors we got in the first 2 weeks.
The deadline was December 12th and the last day was very productive for us as we happened to
get more then 120+ visitors onto our website in a matter of hours, such was our effort. Our
primary mediums were social media, text messages and emails to promote our website and
personal interventions in the daily lives of our loved ones.

Response:
Our maximum Response was received from Direct Sources&Social Mediawhich is about
66.51% and 32.59% respectively. Whereas .88% response is received from other sources
includingLinks &Emails.

Feedback
We got great appreciation from our visitors in various ways for the web site.
The visitors like our website designs and the experiences that weve shared on it.
People from other countries have also visited the website, which shows that people from
outside the country are also interested to try out new social media websites other than
Facebook.
