Four reasons why you should attend . . .

1. Learn and develop skills which will allow you to read the
Bible with a better understanding than before. Many people
desire to learn but early difficulties discourage and hinder
progress.

2. Make your Bible reading enjoyable. Learn with others

straight from the words of Jesus himself.

3. If you believe in God, you need to understand for yourself

His purpose for man. Jesus Christ himself said, “Have you not
read . . .”

4. Take advantage of a welcome break from the television.

Enjoy time with others, learning about God’s Word in a warm
and relaxed environment.

We promise that . . .
You will never be asked for money or to make a donation of
any kind.

You have no obligation. No-one will attempt to ‘save’ you or

pressure you.

You can leave the group at any time with no strings attached.

Questions others have asked . . .
Q. What if everyone there knows more than I do?
A. The group is run in such a way as to make everyone feel
comfortable. No-one is ever ‘put on the spot’. We meet together
to learn and share from the Lord himself.

Q. Why are you doing this?

A. Our faith and belief in God makes us want to share His
message and Truth. We believe the Bible is inspired by God and
what it teaches is right and good in directing our lives and
families. In Christ’s day, the apostles spread the Gospel
message and the commandments of God. We, too, feel
compelled to make known to all who will hear the wonderful
plan God has for the earth.

Q. Will I be asked to be ‘saved’ or ‘join’ the

Christadelphians at the end of the Bible reading group?
A. No! You will not be pressurised during or at the completion
of the Bible reading group. Our hope is that you will be
encouraged to draw your own conclusions about God and His
promises to you. This group will lead you to Jesus’ own words.

Background to the Bible reading group:

The Bible reading group is arranged by Trevor and Tania
Hughes, who have lived in Wendover for 38 years. They have
been reading the Bible for more years than that and have
benefited from similar Bible reading groups organised by the
Christadelphians in this country and overseas.

Christadelphians take their name from the Greek text in Paul’s

letter to the Colossians where he addresses his readers as
‘brothers (and sisters) in Christ’. Christadelphians are found in
most countries all over the world.

We believe that Bible reading brings a spiritual insight to life

which extends beyond the concept of ‘going to church’, and
brings a personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus
Christ. It becomes important to share this concept with others
and to find practical ways of fulfilling the commands of Jesus
embodied in his teaching for life.
