Nutrition Month Celebration Script

The Amonsao Elementary School is indeed thankful of this opportunity to celebrate life
through Nutrition Month. Since the beginning of July, we were all made aware of how
important our health to our lives as human beings. Today, we will be witnessing the
culmination of a month-long activity with a blast as we punctuate our worthy endeavors
with the much awaited Little Mr. and Ms. Nutrition. So, lets brace ourselves as we prove
once again that we have healthy minds in our healthy bodies. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
WELCOME TO THE Amonsao ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CORONATION CEREMONIES of Little Mr. and
Ms. Nutrition 2014.

INVOCATION/SINGING OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ANTHEM

To start with, Lets all rise to acknowledge Our Almighty Father who made us His perfect
creations through an invocation to be led by Mrs. Lilian L. Cariquitan. To be followed by
the singing of our national anthem to be conducted by Ms. Berna Ambrad. May we
request everybody to please stand.
INVOCATION
Almighty Father, as we gather today to reaffirm our commitment to good nutrition, we praise and
thank you for the gift of service to the needy, particularly the children. Lord God, we humbly
seek your Mighty Hand for greater wisdom, and our transformation into a unified and strong
force that will continue to do good and what is right for the country's food, nutrition and health
security. Reward us Lord, with real motivation to pursue and achieve lasting contributions to the
cause of nutrition so that your will, for all helpless children and women and other Filipinos, be
done. All these we pray to You, in Jesus name. Amen

OPENING REMARKS
In recognition of Nutrition Month, I rise today to talk about and acknowledge something
our school is taking very seriously the health and wellness of our student, faculty and
staff, and those who are concerned of healthy living and lifestyle.
An inspiring nutritious morning to all of us.
One should never underestimate the importance of eating healthy food. The benefits of
eating a healthy diet include living a longer life, feeling happier, gaining vitality, weight
loss, and a healthy appearance. Eating healthy foods means we can better fight diseases
and live longer. When it comes to happiness, studies have shown that eating healthy
foods is an excellent natural anti-depressant. When you eat healthy your energy levels
tend to rise.
As we celebrate today this year's Nutrition Month celebration, with the theme"Kalamidad
Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan" The celebration aims to:
1) promote interventions to address nutritional needs in emergencies and disasters
including preparedness, response and recovery;
2) mobilize responders particularly the local nutrition clusters and stakeholders to
address gaps in nutrition in emergencies response from national to barangay levels; and
3) increase awareness among families and individuals on coping and resiliency strategies
to prevent malnutrition and worsening of nutritional status in times of emergencies and
disasters.
As an institution, we can and we will provide actions and applications for children to
become better equipped to lead healthier lives. Lets surge forward of achieving a
healthy-living school.
Today, I would like to issue a challenge to everyone to infuse a healthy culture in life
inside and outside the school premises. We all have the power to take real actions to
improve our health. I encourage you to look for opportunities each and every day to
make an improvement of your own health.
May you have a healthy living and continue living healthy.
