3. Stop watch
PROCEDURE
Experiment 1:Simultaneous Verification of Diaphragm Gas Meter.
1. Initial reading of reference wet type meter, individual diaphragm
meter 1,2,3,4 and 5 were taken and recorded.
2. The initial reading of the pressure and temperature of related
position also were recorded by using online touch-screen system.
3. Saturation valve(V-SAT), reference valve(V-REF), first valve(V-1)
second valve(V-2), forth valve(V-4), fifth valve(V-5), seventh valve(V7), eighth valve(V-8), valve ten(V-10), valve eleven(V-11), valve
thirteen(V-13), and valve fourteen(V-14) was set opened.
4. The value of gas supply system was set at 1bar pressure and was
opened from the cylinders.
5. Isolation valve for third valve(V-3), sixth valve(V-6), ninth valve (V9), valve twelve(V-12), valve fifteen(V-15) and load valve(V-LOAD)
were ensure to be fully closed.
6. V-LOAD valve was gradually opened and the stop watch was
simultaneously started.
7. At the end of 2minutes the pressure, temperature and meter
reading at each individual meter were recorded included the wet
type gas meter section.
8. At the end of 4minutes, step7 was repeated once again.
9. The isolation valve V-LOAD was closed and stopwatch also was
stopped.
10.
Gas supply was stopped from the cylinder by closing the valve
V-SAT.
11.
All isolation valves were closed and the result obtained was
tabulate.
RECOMMENDATION
There are some recommendation should be taken to give better result and
to avoid accident during the experiment
1 Wear proper PPE during conducting the laboratory experiment.
2 Follow the procedure of the experiment thoroughly to prevent
mistake.
3 Make sure the flow rate adjusted in the condenser level must be
accurate.
4 The eyes need to be Perpendicular to the reading scale especially
when take the reading on the reference wet type meter.
5 Alert with the reading needed. Make sure the reading is stabilized
before recording the reading needed.
6 Take the reading correctly base to the experiment objective.
