In ancient Greece, Rome, Phoenicia and Macedonia silver was used extensively to control infections and
spoilage.
Hippocrates, The Father of Medicine, taught that silver healed wounds and controlled disease.
The popularity of medicinal silver arose throughout the Middle East from 702 AD, where it was widely
used and greatly esteemed for blood purification, heart conditions, and controlling halitosis. Paracelsus
(circa 1520 AD) extensively used silver medicinally, and later Caradanus Pareus, and Sala also used it.
Some researches said that when the Bubonic Plague, otherwise known as the Black Death, one of the
greatest Pandemics known to man devastated Europe in 1346-1353, resulting in the deaths of between 75
million to 200 million people, the royals and upper classes were untouched because they were privy to the
use of silver in their wares and their water.
Colloidal Silver is one of the few substances on earth that has proven to be successfully used against
anthrax, flesh eating bacteria MRSA Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aurous.
Some countries even use silver to purify their drinking water, foods and also as a disinfectant to remove
moulds and bacteria.
