Use this transaction to view cost centers included in the cost center standard hierarchy
Business Process Description Overview
The standard hierarchy is a structure that contains all the cost centers belonging to one controlling area. The
standard hierarchy consists of two structural elements: the end nodes contain the cost centers themselves and
the summarization nodes summarize the cost centers of the nodes attached to them. The standard hierarchy
represents the standard cost center rollups desired for reporting.
Any user whose responsibilities include the need to work with, have knowledge of, or maintain cost center
information will use this transaction to view various cost centers, cost center groups, and the structure within
which they reside. A user responsible for a cost center group can use this hierarchy to determine if all the cost
centers that should be included in that group are included and accurate.
Examples: A user viewing a standard report of cost center information for his area notices a new cost center on
the report. He can use this transaction to see when that cost center was added and by whom; or, a new
manager may use this transaction to view all cost centers within the area for which she is responsible.

Tips and Tricks

You will be required to enter Controlling Area (UK00) only on initial sign-on for a session. You may
also establish the default UK00 in your Parameter ID.
You may display every node of the standard hierarchy by placing the cursor on UKSTANDARD node
and select from the EDIT menu, Expand Subtree.

The lower portion of the screen will display information for the cost center, and the upper
portion will show the cost centers for that cost center group.
Result
You have displayed the UK standard hierarchy and searched for a specific cost center group.
Comments
Requests for changes to the standard hierarchy must be made through Area Fiscal Officers.
Alternative cost center groups can be established as needed for reporting and cost allocations.
Please also refer those requests to Area Fiscal Officers.
How to export the Standard Hierarchy

To export the standard hierarchy, use OKENN to display a cost center group. You can
either use the Find by feature to display the complete hierarchy (UKSTANDARD) or
enter a specific node.

Place your cursor on the Print icon
. A screen like the one shown below will
appear. If you want to print the view display, place your cursor on the Print icon
again. If you want to export results, click on the Print view icon
of the Print icon).

The icon will display a drop-down box offering four choices: Print view, Print entire
hierarchy, Print preview of view, Print preview of entire hierarchy. The view is
just the node displayed, while the entire hierarchy is not the entire UKSTANDARD but
rather all underlying nodes and cost centers of the view displayed.

If you select Print preview of the entire hierarchy, the following will display:
From the Main Menu, select System > List > Save> Local File.
A box will appear offering several choices, including Spreadsheet. Click on the
appropriate choice and then press the Enter key,

A dialog box will appear in which you specify where to save the file and what to name
it.
Click on the Generate button. The file will be located where and named what you
specified.
