Young and research-intensive, Singapores Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is the fastest-rising
Asian university in the worlds top 50. NTU offers engineering, science, business, humanities, arts and social
sciences, and medicine. Its new medical school, the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is set up jointly
with Imperial College London.
With 400 partnerships including joint PhD programmes with top academic institutions and joint laboratories
with industry leaders such as BMW, Rolls-Royce and Robert Bosch, NTU is also ranked No. 1 globally for
industry income and innovation.

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering,

Where Interdisciplinary Research Revolution Begins
Enabling unparalleled inventions, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) strives to develop the
strongest research capability to address the complex challenges of the 21st century while raising Singapores
profile as a top-notch research hub.
Our School, internationally lauded for its high academic standards and research orientation, is one of the
worlds largest schools that specialises in electrical and electronic engineering education. It counts, amongst
our full-time team, 150 faculty members with research and professional expertise and about 500 research,
technical and administrative staff.
The high calibre of our faculty is matched by a well-developed teaching and research infrastructure one of
the most comprehensive and sophisticated constellations of research centres and laboratories around the
globe. Our cutting-edge research and technological innovations span a broad spectrum, covering Autonomous
Systems, Big Data and Analytics, Biomedical Engineering, Cyber Security, Electromagnetic Effects, Infocomm
Technologies, IC Design, Internet of Things, Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology, Photonics, Satellite
Engineering, Semiconductor Lighting and Displays, Silicon, Smart Sensors and Advanced Sensing as well
as Spintronics.
Beyond teaching, our faculty members actively collaborate with leading overseas universities, research
institutes and multinational companies. Our research output is highly regarded for its quality. This has enabled
our School to consistently attract, on average, about S$65 million per annum of research funding over the past
five years. Since 2008, our faculty members have published some 680 Science Citation Index (SCI) journals
and 400 conference papers annually. Additionally, more than 100 international journals have appointed these
distinguished academics as editorial members, an acknowledgement of the high professional standing of
our faculty members.
