TODAYS MATCHUP
The Nationals look to avoid the sweep today as they take on the Phillies in game three of this
weekend set...Washington was swept on the road four times in 2014, with the last one coming at
the hands of Philadelphia, Aug. 25-27 at PHI...RHP Max Scherzer will make his first career start
at Citizens Bank Park...PHI starter RHP Sean OSullivan and WSH 1B/OF Clint Robinson were
teammates in the KCR chain as members of Triple-A Omaha in 2011 and 2012.
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
The Nationals and Phillies play 19 times this season (10 in D.C., 9 in Philadelphia)...OF Jayson Werth (2007-10) is the only member of the Nationals 40-man
