Swallowed: In the event of ingestion, administer 3-4 glasses of milk or water. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical care
and hospital treatment immediately.
SYMPOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE for each potential route of exposure.
Inhalation: Inhalation of vapours may cause irritation in the respiratory tract. Coughing and chest
pain may result. Product vapour in low concentrations can cause lacrimation, conjunctivitis and
corneal edema when absorbed in the tissue of the eye from the atmosphere. Corneal edema may
give rise to a perception of blue haze or fog around lights. The effect is transient and has no known
residual effect.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Can cause severe burns of the mouth and throat as well as
perforation of the oesophagus and stomach.
Contact with Eyes: Contact of undiluted product with eyes quickly causes severe irritation and pain
and may cause burns, necrosis and permanent injury. Burns of the eye may cause blindness.
Contact with Skin: Contact of undiluted product with skin quickly causes severe irritation and pain
and may cause burns, necrosis and permanent injury. Absorbed through skin: N/A
First aid facilities
Provide normal industrial first aid facilities, eye wash station and safety showers as appropriate.
Notes to Physician
Possible aggravated pre-existing conditions Asthma, Chronic respiratory disease (e.g. Bronchitis, Emphysema). Skin
disorders and allergies.
Note to physicians; This product is highly injurious to all tissues, similar to that of ammonia or ammonia gas. Chemical
pneumonitis, pulmonary edema, laryngeal edema and delayed scarring of the airway or other effected tissues may occur
following exposure. There is no specific treatment. Clinical management is based on supportive treatment, which is similar
to that for thermal burns.
Suggested treatment for acute symptoms, known antidotes Provide care and treatment based on the patients reaction to
the exposure. For further information contact the; Poisons Information Centre 131126 in all states (New Zealand Dial

Special fire fighting procedures: NFPA class II of HMIS class I rating. Retain expended liquids from fire fighting for later
disposal. Fire-fighters should wear butyl rubber boots, gloves, and body suite and a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Water spray is also useful in cooling fire-exposed tanks and in dispersing vapours.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards: N/A

---------------------------------------------------------- 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES------------------------------------------------Emergency Procedures Spills and Leaks - Include employee protection measures: Avoid unnecessary exposure
and contact.
Dam and absorb spill with absorbent materials, minimize breathing vapours. Increase ventilation. Wear impervious gloves,
safety goggles, and approved organic vapour canister type respirator. Prevent from entering drains and waterways.
Preparing wastes for disposal (container types, neutralization etc.): Soak up with absorbent materials. Store in pails or
drums. Bury in approved landfill or burn solid wastes in an adequate incinerator. Wash spill area with 5% acetic acid then
flush with large amounts of water. Do not allow to enter into sewer.
Notify relevant authorities if it enters drains and waterways.
Disposal: Dispose of in an authorized landfill according to federal, state and local regulations.
----------------------------------------------------------- 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE ------------------------------------------------------------Handle with suitable protective clothing.
Avoid skin or eye contact.
Suitable Containers
Check all containers are clearly labelled and free from leaks.
Storage Requirement
Store in a cool, dry ventilated place between 1 -35 C. Protect containers against physical damage and check regularly for
leaks. Observe manufacturers storing and handling recommendations.
-------------------------------------------- 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS & PERSONAL PROTECTION---------------------------------------All listed ingredients of this product are below occupational exposure levels (OEL) or not found in our records.
Ventilation and engineering controls: If used externally natural ventilation is generally adequate. General ventilation
should be adequate Ventilate confined small spaces where mists or airborne particle levels are excessive or uncomfortable.
Respiratory protection (type): No respiratory protection is should be required if good ventilation is maintained. Use
respirators fitted with organic vapour filters to AS1715 & AS1716 in areas with high vapour concentrations.
Eye protection (type): Use a chemical goggle or safety glasses with side shields or safety glass to AS1337.
Gloves (specify material): Use impervious gloves, nitrile, vinyl or rubber to AS2161.2. In emergency situations, wear
impermeable gloves with cuffs to prevent spread of materials to area above the wrists.
Other clothing and equipment: Wear clean, long-sleeved, body covering impervious overalls and rubber boots.
Work practices, hygienic practices: Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking or using the toilet.
Launder or discard contaminated clothing. Familiarize the employees with the handling procedures in this section; also
encourage prompt removal of contaminated clothing and clearing of contaminated areas. Examine protection equipment for
defects and discard if required.

Conditions to avoid:
Incompatibility (materials to avoid): Oxidizing agents (i.e. perchlorates, nitrates etch). Cleaning solutions such as
chromerge (sulfuricacid/dichromate) and aqua regia. A reaction accompanied by large heat release occurs when the
product is mixed with acids.
Hazardous decomposition products (including combustion products): (from burning, heating or reaction with other
material): Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen.

Conditions to avoid: Excess heating over long periods of time degrades the resin. Masses of more than 0.5kg of product
plus an aliphatic amine will cause irreversible polymerization with considerable heat build-up.
Incompatibility (materials to avoid): Alkalis or Bases.
Hazardous decomposition products (including combustion products): (from burning, heating or reaction with other
material): Incomplete pyrolosis or combustion results in phenolics, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and water. Thermal
decomposition should be traced as a potentially hazardous substance
