TELANGANA-AN INNOVATIVE COMPETETION IN WRITING IDEAS WITH FOLLOW-UP

Dear Madam/Sir, 6th January

2009

This may be published as a letter or Press Note by your esteemed media in the
larger Interest of People in Andhra Pradesh and India .

Going by the crucial meeting held by Chidambaram on the 5th January 2010 it is
very clear that to-day, the outstanding issue is not one of Telangana but in fact the
hidden issue of one concerning the interests of political parties to hold on to power,
the politicians, their individual wealth and power. No one thinks on priority about
India ’s Interest and interest of the People leave alone that of mankind.
We need common people to lead the Politicians and Political Leaders. We must
realize and recognize that to day we have politicians and political leaders. We have
no statesperson and leader of people to-day.

We in the team of People’s Peace and Prosperity Mission working with tribal
communities since 1973 are provoked to see the emerging situation on Telangana
as a challenge and a good opportunity to contribute our small might in resolving the
traumatic and continuing human misery that is plaguing the people in Andhra
Pradesh. We believe in Ahimsa, Justice and Local Governance and means to achieve
this as Democracy. The key foundation of democracy is to respect even a
lone dissent, listen peacefully and completely their views with
appreciation even without agreement.

With this in mind, we are glad to invite the people to write their views on one of the
topic- Jai Telangana or Jai Andhra or Jai Rayalaseema or Jai Samakya
Andhra and participate in a competition and a concluding workshop at the
picturesque Araku hill station in Visakhapatnam , at no cost. There will be two cash
prizes for each Jai of Rs.20,000.00 and Rs.10,000.00 that will be awarded at the
end of the workshop. We will be inviting 10 best views from each Jai to the two days
workshop at Araku. This will include joy ride in the train from Visakhapatnam to
Araku and back plus one or maximum two days of personal stay, if one wishes.
One can write maximum three write ups only on one JAI but not exceeding each
750 words, in Telugu or English Each write up will be considered for the constructive
contribution.
India is a land where we had leaders and saints, like Asoka, Gowtham Buddha,
Gandhi and others, who thought and acted in the interest of the Nation, the People
and even the Humanity- Mankind. Therefore, the only precondition for the
write up is the logic of any of the above “Jai” should lead to “ In the
National Interest”, “ In the Interest of People of India”, “ In the Interest of
Peace” or similar phrases We also request the participants to suggest
catchy and meaningful theme for the workshop.

Those intellectuals, elders and leaders willing to participate in the

process and workshop may also contact us. Write ups can be emailed
to verivaan2049@yahoo.com, bragadambal@yahoo.co.in or posted to
V.B.Chandrasekaran, People’s Peace and Prosperity Mission, Chatti Post,
Chinthur Mandalam, Khammam District- 507 129. before 25th January
2010. The workshop will be in the first fortnight of February 2009.

‘Telangana: Explore all possible options’.- Your Editorial and our
proactive response to hold a competition with follow up.

Dear Madam/Sir, 6th January 2009

This is a proactive response to your interesting Editorial in our esteemed Deccan

Chronicle dated: 6th January captioned ‘Telangana: Explore all possible options’.

“ Politicians of every hue must show the nerve not to be led by crowds in the name
of so-called people’s programme, and summon inner resources to lead the people
instead in a rational, reasonable democratic direction”…I quote the most interesting
summing up line in the write up, which I presume is a satire and if meant so, fine.
But, to-day, the outstanding issue is not one of Telangana but one of the interests of
political parties to hold on to power, the politicians, their individual wealth and
power. No one thinks of India ’s Interest and interest of the People leave alone that
of mankind.
Therefore, in reality, it should be the other way round and it is time for people to
lead the Politicians and Political Leaders. We must realize and recognize that to day
we have politicians and political leaders. We have no statesperson and leader of
people to-day.

We in the team of People’s Peace and Prosperity Mission are provoked by your
Editorial, having found a good opportunity to contribute our small might in resolving
the traumatic and continuing human misery that is plaguing the people in Andhra
Pradesh. We believe in Ahimsa, Justice and Local Governance and means to achieve
this as Democracy. The key foundation of democracy is to respect even a
