PROCESS ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. RESPONSIBILITY
a. Responsible for all process data correctness which use as a basis for proposal and execution stage.
b. Responsible for all process engineering document preparation which required during bid and execution
stage.
c. Responsible to communicate all the process aspect to all stake holder.
d. Responsible to manage all process design changes from bid stage to execution stage.
e. Provide support to Application and Project Engineer if required.
f. Responsible to have self improvement on any new process technology and issue.
g. Responsible to share process engineering knowledge to other discipline as required.
2. COORDINATION LINE
a. During proposal stage, coordination to Application Engineer.
b. During Execution stage, coordination to Project Engineer, Instrument Engineer, Mechanical Engineer,
Designer, and Procurement.
3. PROPOSAL STAGE
a. Reviewed RFQ and Bid Document from Process Point of view and provide process design summary.
b. Give process opinion to application engineer which used during proposal preparation.
c. Support application engineer to provide document which used in proposal like :

Conceptual Block Diagram

Process Flow Diagram

Process Simulation / HMB

Equipment Sizing

Line Sizing

Basic Data which used to prepare RFQ

Brief Process Description

Process Design Basis

Technical Specification for Process only

Assist Application Engineer/Sales Engineer during clarification meeting with client if required.

Assist Application Engineer/Sales Engineer during clarification meeting with Principle if

required.

Assist Application Engineer/Procurement during clarification with vendor if required.

Review all proposal which come from principle or vendor on process side.

Response for any clarification and comment comes from principle, client and vendor which
related to the process side.
d. Help application engineer to provide sizing of PSV, Control Valve, Regulator, etc during bid stage.
4. EXECUTION STAGE
a. Presented process flow and operation on PPE internal engineering design review.
b. Continue final RFQ and Bid Document including addendum (if any) from Process Point of view and
update process design summary (if required).
c. Review final process data which used as a basis data for Execution.

Communicate with client if any process data/condition which need to clarify.

Communicate with principle which related to process, equipment and internal design.
Review proposal from principle and client related to process data.
Review draft PO before submission.
Communicate with internal PPE for any changes of process data.
Assist project engineer during clarification meeting with principle, vendor & client.
Review all submission document and comment related to process data such as :

Equipment Datasheet

Equipment GA Drawing

Instrument datasheet

Attend in HAZOP/HAZID meeting

5. SKILL REQUIRED
Understand project and engineering work flow.
Able to understand project specification.
Process simulation experience with HYSYS or other software a plus.
Familiarity with API, ASME and ANSI standards a plus. .
Abel to read and understand instrument vendor catalogue.
Able to used Autocad 2D.
Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software and Windows Operating system.
Intermediate to advanced level skills with Visio are skills required.
Able to develope in house calculation spread sheet using exel macro or VBA.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Detail orientated.
Effective analytical and problems solving skills.
Creative and innovative.
Ability to communicate effectively control process concepts to Process Plants clients.
