INTRODUCTION

In UniKL MIMET, there are many club registered to the universities. They exist and
founded to give benefit to the student on behalf of curriculum activities. The entire
club held many activities or programme over semester to semester. They hardly
spend their money or time on to make sure all the activities going well.
The problem happen when many students in universities especially in UniKL
MIMET not intend to join most of the activities held by the club. For the record, in one
programme or activities, there are only 30 % that are joining the programme. It will
cause other problem which is wastes food or goodies bag that provided from the
organiser. It will give some bad issues to the motivator or invited individual which is
from other university. They will assume the student in this university lack of soft skill
due to not interested to join any useful activities. Many students also did not know
any club in this university. They did not try to involve in any club rather than sit and
make same activities every day at the hostel. This is because, any club in this
university have their own function. Robotic Club for example, they only focus on the
robotic programme which is important to the electrical student. Others, they also lack
of information from the club. They did not know how to get the information to ask all
the info from the member of the club. Most of the student did not know history or the
organisational chart of the club.
Based on the problem, we propose this proposal in term how to solve the
main problem that might be cause to another problem. Our proposal title is A
proposal to organise a space for club and society notice board. We think if there are
no notice board, no information to student. The board will function to attach all the
news or information from any club

PROBLEM STATEMENT

This problem occur because lack of students involvement in any co-curriculum

activities that been conducted by the university clubs and societies. Besides some of
the program conducted by the clubs didnt get any attention because of the lack of
an organized space to advertise programs and activities that the university clubs and
societies wanted to conduct. The advertisement posters patch everywhere not
orderly and make inappropriate view. These situations will not helping the students
even staffs that wanted to involve in any activities or programs they tend to involve.
The problems always focus on the student and staff in term of they are the citizen of
the campus or universities. If they not give some encouragement, the club or society
will not exist or founded in the university.
Furthermore, this effort is important by developing soft-skills among students.
Students that like to involve themselves in any related university program will find
that they can improve the soft-skills which is very important for them afterward
especially in their future career. So, by building soft-skills among the students we
directly can help them to become the next responsible leaders. The member of the
club and society can find the new individual to replace the position. They can recruit
new member of the club to activate the club from semester to semester. Other
problems are lack of information for the entire student in the university. For example,
the new student, they will want to know the entire club on UniKL MIMET but if there
are not any specific spaces for the club, they will find hard to know the entire club
that they want to join. It will cause confusions among student and the
encouragement will become low. If there are any specific spaces for the club or
society, they will go through direct place to get any latest news or update.

OBJECTIVES

1. To increase the number of student involvement in any co-curriculum

activities. Students can sharpen their talent and get a new soft skill with
their involvedness in any clubs activities. UniKL MIMET also can produce a
good product of student.
2. To alert the student about the current activities. Student can know the
current activities easily without lack of information. Notice board that
place at the best view can attract the student for keep looking at the
notice board for any information which is at Caf layang layang.

SOLUTION

Provide the space to place a notice board for each club at Cafeteria
Layang-Layang UniKL MIMET. At Cafeteria, it is best place for place the
notice board. This is because the current layout of the building. There are
many doors but only three of them become entrance of the building for
student keep in and out which is right, left and front of the building. So, all
the door that not be used for the entrance can be place for the notice
board. Others, the both glass panel at the front entrance also can be
suitable place for notice board. For overview, we can place 9 notice board
for the club and society. The design layout of the cafeteria building for the
notice board can be shown below;

CONCLUSION

With this initiative, we hope this proposal will be accepted by the

university administration. With the notice board, students can get full
information about the clubs which is the organization, the activities of the
club and also easy for student to participate in the activities that
organized for each club. Thus, it will develop the soft skills among the
students which is very use full to them in their job career.
It seem to be with small move which is place the notice board, can
make a big solution to the major problem among entire student. It is very
important to the first view of the student on how the club or society use
the notice board to attract the student to come and see the information.
We can sure that with this initiative, the club and society more easy to
attract the student for join the club.
The notice board can be a self-space for any club to do anything with
manner and responsibility. Without this initiative, the unknown club among
student will keep being unknown and lastly that club be terminated from
the university. We hope from the simple explanation from this proposal,
university administration approved this initiative.
