1. Pronouns replace Nouns.
2. Nouns replaced by Pronouns are called Antecedents.
3. Subject Pronouns are used when the pronoun is used as the subject of the
sentence.
4. Subject pronouns usually follow the words than and as.
5. Object pronouns (me, you, him, her, it, us, them) are used as a direct object,
indirect object or object of the preposition.

Agree or Disagree
1. Show some slides (one at a time) that consist of sentences using pronouns.
2. Ask the participants to agree or disagree with the shown sentences. Tell them to
write their decision on their notepads.
3. Tell the participants to keep their answers for a while and that they will revisit
them before the end of the session.
1. Form the Home Groups.
Form groups of four participants.
Name each group as Home Group 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Name each member of the group as Expert 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Explain that each expert member is responsible in reporting to the Home
Group some Rules about pronouns.
2. Form the Expert Groups.
Gather all Expert 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. in separate groups.
Distribute Activity Sheet Make the Rules for the Expert Groups
Let the members of the 6 Expert Groups to discuss and do the activity
assigned to them.
Give them 5 minutes to do it.
Remind all the experts of their task when they go back to their Home
Groups.
3. Instruct the experts to go back to their respective their Home Groups.
