President & CEO
Mr. Emirsyah Satar was appointed as President & CEO in March 2005.
Previously, he has served as Deputy President Director of Bank Danamon;
Director of Finance of Garuda Indonesia; CEO/Managing Director of
Niaga Finance, Hong Kong; CEO/Managing Director of PT Niaga Leasing
Corporation, Jakarta; President Director/CEO of PT Niaga Factoring
Corporation, Jakarta; GM Corporate Finance of Jan Darmadi Group;
Assistant VP Corporate Banking Group of Citibank NA; and auditor for
Coopers
&
Lybrand
audit
firm.
Presently, he also serves as President of Indonesia National Air Carriers
Association (INACA); Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of
Commerce (KADIN) for International Economic Cooperation; member of
the Board of Governors of International Air Transport Association (IATA);
and member of the Executive Committee, Association of Asia Pacific
Airlines (AAPA). Mr. Satar was born in Jakarta on June 28, 1959. He
obtained Bachelor degree in Economics majoring in Accountancy from
Universitas Indonesia and Diploma degree from Sorbonne University,

Paris.

FREDERIK JOHANNES (ERIK) MEIJER

EVP Marketing & Sales
Mr. Erik Meijer was appointed as EVP Marketing & Sales in June 2013.
Previously, he joined the board at Garuda Indonesia, he resigned his
position as Director & Chief Commercial Officer at PT Indosat Tbk. In the
past, he had held many other positions such as President Director at PT
Bakrie Connectivity, Deputy President Director at PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk,
CEO at PT Vivanews Indonesia, CCO at PT Visi Media Asia (VIVA), Vice
President at Telkomsel, and Manager Koninklijke at PTT Nederland (KPN)
Royal Dutch Telecom.
Mr. Erik Meijer was born in Hoozegand-Sappemeer,Netherlands on
September 6, 1970. He is an International Business Studies graduate from
Hanzehogeschool Groningen Netherland. He also owns a diploma in
International Marketing from Middlesex Poly University, London.

BATARA SILABAN
EVP Maintenance & Fleet Management
Mr. Batara Silaban was appointed as EVP Maintenance & Fleet
Management in April 2012. Previously, he served as VP Aircraft
Maintenance Management, VP Asset & Counter Trade Management, VP
Material, GM Technical System Development, GM Aircraft Maintenance
Planning & Control, Senior Manager Maintenance Planning, Manager

Mr. Silaban was born in Mataram on June 24, 1963. He hold Bachelor
degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology
(Bhs: Institut Teknologi Bandung / ITB) and Magister Management degree
from University of Indonesia, Jakarta.

FAIK FAHMI
EVP Services
Mr. Faik Fahmi was appointed as EVP Services in April 2012. Previously,
he served various positions as President Director of Garuda Orient
Holidays Japan Co, Ltd (joint venture company in Japan between Japanese
Local Firm and Aerowisata), VP Area Japan Korea China, General
Manager Tokyo, General Manager Osaka, General Manager Pekanbaru,
Manager Corporate Service Line Replenishment and Manager
Procurement.
Mr. Fahmi was born in Purbalingga on December 12, 1967.
He obtained Bachelor degree in Economics from Gadjah Mada University,
Yogyakarta

HANDRITO HARDJONO
EVP Finance
Mr. Handrito Hardjono was appointed as EVP Finance in April 2012.
Previously, he served as EVP Finance and Human Capital of PT
Aerowisata; EPM Initial Public Offering of Garuda Indonesia; EPM Debt
Restructuring; VP Treasury Management; VP Controlling; VP Material,
Executive Project Mgr., Debt Restructure; Head Corporate Treasury; VP
Treasury; VP Budget & Controlling; VP Operations Suport; GM
Operations Planning; GM Economic Plannning; GM Tech. Research &
Development; and GM Shop Sup. Aircraft System Development at the
company.
Mr. Hardjono was born in Malang on July 18, 1955. He obtained Bachelor
degree in Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology
(Institut Teknologi Bandung), Magister Management degree from
University of Indonesia, Jakarta; Master of Public Administration from
Harvard University, US, and MSc degree in Management from
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US.

HERIYANTO AGUNG PUTRA

EVP Human Capital & Corporate Affairs
Appointed as EVP Human Capital & Corporate Affairs since April 2012.
Previously, he served with the Company as VP Human Capital
Management; VP Business Support; GM General Strategic Sourcing;
General Manager Corporate Services; and General Manager Cost

Controlling. Heriyanto Agung Putra was born in Bandung on November

23, 1965. Obtained a Bachelor degree in Financial Management from
STIM YPLG, Jakarta, and Magister Management and MBA degrees from
Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta.

NOVIJANTO HERUPRATOMO
EVP Operations
Mr. Novijanto Herupratomo was appointed as EVP Operations in April
2012. He previously served within the Company as VP Corporate Quality,
Safety & Environment Management; VP Flight Safety, Aviation Security &
Environment; GM Incident Management; GM Incident Investigation;
Company Check Pilot B-737 Strata III; GM Flight Standard; Manager
Company Operating Procedure; Manager Technical; Pilot B-737; Simulator
Instructor B-737; Captain Narrow Body; Senior Flight Officer Wide Body;
Copilot DC-9 and Junior Copilot DC-9. Mr. Herupratomo was born in
Malang on November 25, 1959, and is a Diploma graduate of LPPU Curug
Flying School.

EVP Strategy, Business Development & Risk Management
Mr. Judi Rifajantoro was appointed as EVP Strategy, Business
Development & Risk Management in April 2012. Previously, he served as

Mr. Rifajantoro, born in Bandung on November 27, 1959, obtained a
Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Bandung
Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung), and a Magister of
Telecommunications Business from Delft University, the Netherlands.

BAMBANG SUSANTONO
President Commissioner
He was appointed as President Commissioner in April 2012. He also
currently serves as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Transportation.
Previously, he has served as Deputy Minister for Infrastructure & Regional
Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs; Expert
Staff to the Minister at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs;
Secretary of Policies for the Acceleration of Infrastructure Development
Committee (KKPPI); Vice Chairman of Technical Team at National
Coordinating Board for Spatial Use (BKTRN); and Vice Chairman of
Implementation Team of Development Plan for the Special Economic
Zones.
Bambang Susantono was born in Yogyakarta, 4 November 1963. He
graduated with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Bandung
Institute of Technology (ITB). He holds MSCE degree in Transportation
Engineering; MCP degree in City & Regional Planning; and PhD in
Infrastructure Planning, all from University of California, Berkeley, US.
He still teaches and serves as thesis and dissertation advisor at Post
Graduate School of Engineering Science, University of Indonesia (UI) and
School of Land Transportation (STTD); is the Group Coordinator of
Infrastructure Management Expertise at UI; as well as the President of
Indonesian Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

BETTI ALISJAHBANA
Independent Commissioner
She was appointed as Independent Commissioner in February 2012. At the
time being, she also serves as Director and Founder of PT Quantum
Business International; Commissioner at PT Sigma Cipta Caraka; Deputy
Chairperson of the National Research Board; Member of National
Innovation Committee (KIN); Member of ITB Advisory Board;
Chairperson of Indonesia Open Source Association; Chairperson of
Permanent Committee for Software, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce.
She previously served as President Director of PT IBM Indonesia;
Director of Operations, PT IBM Indonesia; General Manager of IBM eBusiness and Cross Industry Solutions for ASEAN & South Asia Region;
General Manager of IBM General Business for ASEAN & South Asia
Region.

Betti Setiastuti Alisjahbana was born in Bandung on August 2, 1960. She

obtained Bachelor degree in Architecture from Bandung Institute of
Technology (ITB).

CHRIS KANTER
Independent Commissioner
He was appointed as Independent Commissioner in April 2013. He is also
a Vice Chairman of APINDO; Vice Chairman for Trade and International
Economic Cooperation at Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(KADIN); on Board of Commissioners PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia,];
in Expert Team of Joint Study Group on Long Term Vision for Trade and
Investment Cooperation Indonesia-European Union at Ministry of
Finance; on Board of National Economic Council (Perpres No. 31/2010);
in Investment Committee for Business Relationship of BKPM (Indonesia
Investment Coordinating Board); on Board of Commissioners at PT
Indosat Tbk; Founder and Chairman Sigma Sembada Group; as well as
Founder and Chairman at Swiss German University.
Before, he was Vice Chairman for Investment and Transportation at
KADIN; member of MPR RI; Chairman of Organising Committee of
Asia-Africa Summit 2005; and in Indonesian Government Coordinating
Team of Improvement of Export-Import Smooth Flow. Chris Kanter was
born in Manado on April 25, 1952. He received his Bachelor Degree from
Faculty of Technology, Trisakti University.

PETER F. GONTHA
Independent Commissioner
He was appointed as Independent Commissioner in June 2012. Presently,
he also serves as Executive Chairman PT First Media Tbk; President
Commissioner of PT Linknet; Chairman of PT Persada Giri Abadi,
Founder & President Commissioner of PT Java Festival Production;
President of Sun Yen Engineering Singapore; Publisher of The Jakarta
Globe Suara Pembaruan, Investor Daily and Berita Satu Media Holding;
Member of BKPM Investment Committee; and Vice Chairman of
Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
Previously, he served Assistant Vice President Citibank N.A.; Regional
Head Vice President of American Express Bank Asia; Commissioner of
Star Motor/Mercedes Benz; Commissioner of German Motors/Star Engine
Manufacturing; Founder and Director of Osprey Maritime Singapore;
Commissioner of Karimun Granite Singapore; Commissioner of PT Nestle
Indonesia; Founder and Director of PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta;

Peter studied Computer Design and Operation at Shell Benelux
Computing Center; and Finance Accounting and Business Administration
at Praehap Institute, The Netherlands.

WENDY ARITENANG
Commissioner
He was appointed as Commissioner on June 4, 2007. Concurrently, he also
holds the position of Inspector General at the Ministry of Transportation.
Formerly he served as Expert Staff to the Minister of Transportation;
Director General of Railways; Secretary General at the Ministry of
Transportation; Deputy Minister for Research & Technology;
Commissioner of PT PLN Batam; Commissioner of PT Adyatirta Batam;
Deputy Chairman of Otorita Batam; and Head of Planning Bureau at BPP
Teknologi.
Wendy Aritenang was born in Jakarta on December 15, 1954. He obtained
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Bandung Institute of
Technology (ITB) in 1979; and Master of Science & Diploma in 1986 and
PhD degrees in Structural Engineering from Imperial College of Science
& Technology, University of London in 1989.

ISA RACHMATARWATA
Commissioner
He was appointed as Commissioner on April 2, 2014. He currently serves
as Expert Staff on Policies and Regulations of Financial Services and
Capital Markets at the Ministry of Finance.
He previously worked as High Official at Fiscal Policy Agency and Head
of Insurance Bureau at the Ministry of Finance, Head of Development and
Information Services Sub-directorate, Chairman of Government Guarantee
Implementation Unit, Head of Inspection and Services Sub-directorate,
Head of Pension Fund Examination Section of Finance Institutions at the

Ministry of Finance.
Isa Rachmatarwata was born in Jombang, December 30, 1966. He
obtained his Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Bandung Institute of
Technology (ITB) in 1990 and Master degree in Mathematics (Actuarial
Science) from University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1994.
