DESCRIPTION

<BW object> Status: Analysis

For the selected BW object, you can view the number of erroneous requests or
records. Erroneous requests or records are records or requests that cannot be
aggregated or activated

Manage <BW Object>

Starts InfoProvider Administration for the selected BW object. You can view the
details of requests on which the BW application is built. Can view details, such as
the request ID, request status, number of records transferred, number of records
added, and source system.

Display <BW Object>

Opens the Display <BW object> page for the selected BW application. You can edit
the <BW object> on which the BW application is built as well as the <BW object>
structure.

Change <BW Object>

Opens the Edit <BW object> page for the selected BW application. You can view
the <BW object> on which BW application is built as well as the <BW object>
structure. For example, can view the dimensions, key figures and attributes for
<BW object>.

Object Overview

Opens the Display Characteristic page for the selected BW Object. For example,
you can view the general properties, master data properties, and hierarchy
properties for the BW object.

Data Flow

Opens the Display Data Flow page of the InfoProvider on which the selected BW
application is built. You can view the data flow diagram on this page.

Aggregate Maintenance

Opens the Maintenance for Aggregate page for the selected InfoCube. You can
build new aggregates and maintain existing aggregates defined on the InfoCube.

Process Chain Log

Displays the Process Chain Display Log for the selected process chain in
transaction RSPC.

Demo Scenario1 : Manage InfoCube<1>

1.End User XYZ getting very high runtimes for a query named SUPPLYDEMAND.
He reports this to the administrator.
2. Administrator takes a look at the ADMIN COCKPIT and tries to see where the problem lies.
3. He goes to the Query Runtime Statistics and then to BW Application Object Statistics.
4. He notices the execution time (OLAP and Data Manager time).

4. The administrator explores the ROLLUP Tab. As The company does not have the BW Accelerator ,
the administrator decides to try the option of Creating Aggregates to decrease query runtime.

Administration Cockpit: Data Load Status

You can display the execution and
request status of processes, process
chains, InfoProviders and BW objects
for a selected BW system. You use
this information to:
Identify the status of processes and
process chains
Identify the number of incorrect
requests or records
This allows you to:
Minimize failures when loading data
into the system
Detect problems in the system
