(Project Manager Business Growth)
 I was responsible for initiating and delivering multiple social and economical projects to meet the needs
of local communities and businesses in Greater Nottingham.
 I set up a business support partnership which aligned with the UK National Business Support
Simplification Programme. This was achieved by understanding the needs of local business and then
initiating links with partner organisations.
 I organised and attended a business trade delegation to China. This involved seeking sponsorship to
promote and organise the trip. As a result, businesses formed international trade relations and I
stimulated a good working relationship between the Economic Development Department in Nottingham
and the Regional Development Agency in Jinxing, China.
 I have also undertaken various community based roles which involved setting up local meetings/ events
within disadvantaged communities. I arranging for the CEO and me to attend the meetings and listen
to the views of the local people. Local communities felt empowered to voice their opinions in
contribution towards their Local Area Agreement Plans.
 I wrote a Finance and Business Services Strategy in consultation with local businesses. This was in
response to the economic recession. I achieved this by setting up an advisory board for the sector,
which was led by high profile business leaders. A business retention plan and growth strategy was
produced as a result.
 I project managed a public/private partnership within the creative industries sector. This involved
regenerating a city council property in to a successful digital media centre for local businesses. Project
management methodology applied.
