Into A Wealthy Place

Text: Psalm 66:1-20

The phrase into a wealthy place is a vivid description of a place or state of life where sanctified people enjoy the
overflowing blessings of God. Its richness satisfies mans physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being. It is beyond
mans well-desired earthly treasures and people who reach that place will surely enjoy the loving-kindness of the Lord.
We are confident that God is leading believers into a wealthy place but many are not aware of such excellent
progression being fulfilled in their lives. Often times, people can hardly perceive Gods brilliant work because they used to
walk by sight and not by faith.
A careful study of Psalm 66 will help us to appreciate the wonderful working of God toward the children of men. In verse
5, it says, Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. (KJV) Truly, the thoughts
and ways of God are far higher than the way we think and do things. God is perfect in all His ways and He is worthy to be
praised.
Every man must honor, praise, give thanks and worship God in a significant way. In Psalm 66:1-4, it is written, Make a
joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. Say unto God, How
terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. All the
earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. (KJV) May we keep on singing How
Great Thou Art unto God with joy and understanding.
We must be mindful of God at all times and give Him due praises. It should be our desire to encourage others to worship
God in spirit and in truth. Even in our darkest night, His Name should be lifted up and be praised in our midst. We must
keep in mind that God is shaping our lives while leading us into a wealthy place.

Through His Awesome Working
Psalm 66:1-20
-His great power
Psalm 66:1-7
In Psalm 66:1-7, it is written, Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his
praise glorious. Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies
submit themselves unto thee. All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land:
they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him. He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the
nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. (KJV)
-His way of preserving believers lives
Psalm 66:8-9
In Psalm 66:8-9, it is written, O bless our God, ye people, and take the voice of his praise to be heard: Which holdeth
our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. (KJV)
-His way of refining believers
Psalm 66:10-12
In Psalm 66:10-12, it is written, For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us
into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and
through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. (KJV)
-His way of answering believers prayer
Psalm 66:13-19
In Psalm 66:13-19, it is written, I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Which my lips have
uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the
incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath
done for my soul. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the
Lord will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. (KJV)

-His mercy
Psalm 66:20
In Psalm 66:20, it is written, Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. (KJV)
Great is our God. His works are excellent, His ways are perfect and all praises should be given to Him.
