International Conference on

Business Communication

A Conduit to Understanding the

Dynamics of Communication in Business

March 28, 2014

About the Conference

Globalization has made the most exacting demands on
organizations to rise and benchmark themselves to the
global standards and in the process the world has
changed the way it communicates!
The need for quick Information transfer within
organizations has brought in sweeping changes in the
way people communicate. Technology in particular has
brought about humungous changes in the way
organizations and people communicate with one
another. Industry has been exhibiting a heightened sense
of alertness to these liberating changes being brought in
by technology as communication is the backbone of all
organizations.
People have realized that communication has the ability
to transform a company from negative growth to positive
growth and an individual from being prosaic to being a
cult. Today, the ability to communicate ideas has taken
precedence over the idea itself. What is valued in today's
organizations is one's ability to communicate!
Communication has been identified as a skill that can
change the destiny of an individual and the organization!
There by, Business communication has become the focus
of study in academic institutions and a focus of
strategizing in industry.
A concerted effort is being made by both industry and
academia to bring in a balance between technology and
the conventional methods of communication to ensure it
is efficient and result oriented.
The purpose of the conference is to provide the
academia, researchers, research scholars and people
from the industry a common platform to connect and
share the business communication practices existing in
the industry today, to explore the possibilities of
innovating for better communication practices and to
ensure that students are equipped to face the demands
and requirements when they are part of organizations.
