Activity1:AskagroupreadAilem in ET, Unit 8, Section 3, p. 158 (p. 146), and answer
questions together.
Activity 2: The bulk of Part C will be devoted to talk about families and family members.
Students have brought in their family trees and family photographs. Allow each student to
present his/her family and describe their family members. Make sure each person has the
opportunity to show the rest of the group his/her family.
Activity 3: If time permits, do the cultural activity you have planned for this part of the session.
Give the students a chance to ask questions in English during the last 10 minutes. This is a
good time to discuss cultural issues that came up during the session. End the session on a
positive note. Practice appropriate parting/goodbye/see you again phrases and salutations.
