The Borg range of mechanical access controls is the product of over 15 year of market experience. With an emphasis on functionality, performance and quality Borg has
strived to develop products that meet the requirements of specialist applications. This
has resulted in an extensive range of mechanical products that allow us to offer a product for almost every timber, steel, aluminium and PVC application.
Borg has continued to develop new products for applications where an affordable access control had not been previously available. The latest in this line is the new BL7000
Easicode range. This features a new coding chamber that allows the code to be
changed whilst on the door and retro-fitting the Unican 1000 and 5000 series models, as
well as our own BL5000 series.
The Borg Numbering System
In tandem with our expanding range we have standardised the product numbering
system to simplify the diffrent permutations that we offer throughout each lock series.
First Digit - Series Number
The initial number denotes the product series.
Second Digit - Special Feature or Handle Type
The second number identifies the special feature or handle style that the lock may
have, for example a 2201 has the hold back feature whereas a 2001 does not.
Third Digit - Single Keypad or Back to Back
The Third number indicates whether the unit has one keypad or is back to back. This
digit will either be a 0 for when only one keypad is required or a repeat of the series
number to denote back to back keypads. For example: the 2001 is a single keypad with
a non-holdback inside handle and latch; whereas a 2021 is a pair of keypads with a
tubular latch.
Last Digit - Locking Device
The final digit indicates the type of locking device is supplied i.e. lockcase or latch.

The ergonomic design and simple operating procedure ensures access
for authorised personnel only.Automatic locking until correct code is

The BL2400 easicode series represents a medium duty range of

access controls, suitable for applications where frequent code
change is required. No longer is it necessary removing tumblers;
the code can be changed in the hand with a simple push and
twist of a screwdriver for each button.
The BL2400 series has been designed as a direct lever handle
upgrade for our own standard BL2000 and competitors equivalent 2000 style models. The BL2400 series offers the benefit of a
lever handle, a holdback function on the inside handle and a
free turning handle until the correct code is entered.

The BL2900 easicode series is the ideal retro-fit upgrade for our own standard
BL2000 and competitors equivalent 2000 style models, where frequent code
changing is required. No longer is it necessary removing tumblers; the code can
be changed in the hand with a simple push and twist of a screwdriver for each
button. But with our patented Load Plate design the BL2900 is also secure; so it
wont be possible to determine the code by button feel; making the BL2900 the
securest option for lower traffic applications.
Automatic locking until the correct code is entered ensures access is for
authorised personnel only. An easy grip anti-ligature knob completes the
offering.

The BL3000 metal gate lock series is another unique product from Borg. Combining a specially designed lockcase
with our proven Marine Grade keypads we are able to
offer the perfect access control solution for box section
metal gates. The lockcase utilizes a forend fixing system
which increases security and ease of fitting.
The self-locking system has been designed with adjustability and ease of fitment in mind; the latchbolt can
be adjusted to suit a variety of box section profiles whilst
the latchbolt head is reversible to suit left and right hand
hung gates.

The BL3400 series is an addition to the already popular

metal gate lock series. This series uses the same lockcase
design as the standard BL3000 series models; however
incorporates a lever handle for both sides of the unit.
Designed for applications where a lever handle is
required for pulling a heavy or outward opening gate.
This model is also suitable for the frail or for users who
may find a knob difficult to turn. The lever on the keypad
side is free turning until the correct code is entered
preventing any damage or misuse to the lock.

The New BL5000 Series is a range of mechanical pushbutton coded locks designed for applications where medium to
heavy duty usage is expected.
The new and improved BL5000 series design now offers a
strengthened clutch and coding chamber as well as a new
style of flat bar lever handle (old style round bar still available)
This new model surpasses its predecessor and all other BL5000
copies in the market.
Available in a number of different permutations there is a
BL5000 series unit to suit almost every internal or external
medium to heavy duty application.

The Marine Grade Series offers a comprehensive range of mechanical access control solutions that have been developed
specifically for marine applications whereby compliance to
the ISPS code is essential. The Marine Grade series offers the
perfect solution for applications where it is not possible or convenient to use an electronic or key driven access control.
Manufactured to the highest standards using stainless steel for
all of the critical internal components the Marine Grade series
has undergone extensive testing to ensure that the coding
chamber is resistant to salt water corrosion. The exterior bodies have been chrome plated using a special 5 layer process
that is 500 hour salt spray tested; soon to be replaced for the
new 1000 hour salt spray tested black Marine Grade Pro finish
which is guaranteed to last in the most arduous of conditions.

The 6000 series (Solo) is a new and unique coding system designed,
engineered, manufactured and assembled in the UK. Incorporating a
single column of 6 buttons the Solo offers a high security sequentially
coded method of access control. With a body width of just 40mm the
Solo is ideal for narrow stile sections be it aluminium or PVC. The free
acting handle is permanently clutched to provide no handle resistance until the correct code is entered.
The Solo models are ideal for retro fitting applications as it is
adaptable to suit a variety of different fixing and locking centres
whilst the 8mm square drive makes it compatible with most
multi-point locking devices.

Series

The Solo is available in two main models; the BL6000 (Solo) which is
supplied with a separate escutcheon and the BL6100 (Solo 1) which
incorporates an extension plate making it suitable for use with 70, 72,
90 & 92mm centres. The Solo 1 offers perfect upgrade from a standard
set of lever handles for PVC-U doors; fitted using the existing fixing
centres the Solo 1 can be adapted to suit a number of different
locking centres.

The BL7000 easicode series is another new range of access

controls from Borg offering a host of innovative features. Designed
and built to meet a heavy duty specification, which is ideal for
high traffc areas.
Sharing the same footprint as the Unican 1000 & 5000 as well as
our own BL5000 series, the BL7000 series is perfect for retro-fit
solutions.
Code changing is completed on the door in a matter of seconds
making it ideal for situations where regular code changes are
necessary; both code changing and free passage are actuated
from the inside handle preventing unauthorised code change
attempts. A free access mode and an un-clutched free acting
handle complete the BL7000 series heavy duty specification.
