SyncnSwitch
By uncoupling data
synchronization from the user
migration, ArchiveShuttle
offers minimal to no user
disruption while their email
is migrated from a legacy
archive to a current archiving
platform such as Enterprise
Vault 11, or to Microsoft
Exchange 2013 or Office 365.

Live and archive migration

Fujitsus key project requirement was
to ensure the staffs email access
wasnt disrupted while live and archive
migration occurred in parallel. Once
Fujitsus live Microsoft Exchange
mailbox migration was complete for
a group of users, ArchiveShuttles
SyncnSwitch feature switched
the users to complete the archive
migration to the new Symantec
EV environment. The automatic
conversion of mailbox shortcuts
and decommissioning of the old EV
archive platform formed the final part
of the workflow. This resulted in an
expected saving of $500K throughout
the course of the project.

Migrating Enterprise Vault

A UK based law company with over 15,000 employees maintained 105 TB of data in Symantec Enterprise Vault on an EMC
Centera storage system. With Centera going end-of-life the decision was taken to migrate Enterprise Vault to a Network Appliance
storage system. The migration project was predictable, and the SyncnSwitch approach of ArchiveShuttle meant that the whole
process was transparent to the end user.
