X-CIDE 320
Industrial Bactericide
DESCRIPTION:

X-CIDE 320 industrial bactericide is a brinesoluble, liquid, semi-polar, polyamine compound

possessing excellent corrosion and bacterial
properties. The product is designed for application
in non-potable industrial and oil field water systems
where bacterial slime and corrosion problems exist.

X-CIDE 320 is recommended for treatment of oil

field and petrochemical water injection systems; and
oil field producing systems, tanks and disposal
systems (where the effluent does not drain into
streams, lakes ponds or municipal water systems).
This bactericide effectively controls the growth of
aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, in addition to algae
and fungi. It is particularly recommended for the
control of anaerobic, sulfate reducing bacteria which
are responsible for producing large quantities of
hydrogen sulfide.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

Your Baker Petrolite representative can provide a

specific recommendation for your system.

Feature:
Effective against sulfate reducing bacteria at low
concentrations
Benefit:
Reduces microbially influenced corrosion and
biogenic H2S production
Feature:
Highly surface active
Benefit:
Cleans lines and penetrates biofilms

X-CIDE 320 may be applied via slug treatments of

100 to 500 ppm; or by continuous application at
concentrations of 30 to 50 ppm. For a typical slug
treatment, add 120 ppm of X-CIDE 320 (1 pint per
1000 gallons of water) at intervals as required to
prevent growth of bacterial slime. Badly fouled
systems should be slug treated to establish control;
then treated continuously at concentrations of 30 to
60 ppm X-CIDE 320 to prevent regrowth.
X-CIDE 320 bactericide is also effective as a
inhibitor of acid or saline induced corrosion.

Feature:
Not effected by total dissolved solids and high
brine composition
Benefit:
Can be used in a wide range of brines
Feature:
Will not react with H2S
Benefit:
Can be used in sour water

Feature:
Corrosion inhibiting film forming amine
Benefit:
Provides enhanced corrosion protection
Feature:
Effective against acid producing bacteria (APB)
Benefit:
Reduces microbially influenced corrosion
