PRESIDENTIAL VISIT
This summer, President Barack Obama visited the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) to welcome, Julin Castro, as his newest Cabinet Secretary. After concluding the
welcoming ceremony, President Obama and Secretary Castro took time to visit with a group of Melwood
custodial employees. Deborah Fisher, Melwood Project Manager and a team of nine Melwood employees

Watch Us Grow
As we move into 2015, we look forward to the next 50
years of advocating for and empowering individuals with
differing abilities to transform their lives through unique
opportunities to work and play in the community.
This is a remarkable time for Melwood! The achievements
we have made this year, and those to come in 2015, would not
be possible without the support of each one of you. Melwood
is very fortunate to have a loyal group of supporters. Many of
you have served this organization for years. It is because of
you that Melwood has grown to become one of the leading
non-profits in Maryland, providing employment, job training,
life skill improvement and recreation for thousands of people
with differing abilities.
