The Big Bang: From theology to Science

Life has a beginning and an end too. The most cataclysmic was the The
end, He has seen his friends, relatives and even himself got whelmed as
time passes. The point destination was unclear and seems to be the most
serious dilemma that man has faced. So what he did was made religion
and god and made god supreme power who controls his life and his
surroundings. During that time he was not even expecting to have this
question, whether the place around him will have an end or whether it
was just born just like him. Later as time passes this question too comes
in his mind. In order to understand the end of the universe, he should
know the beginning of the world and the universe and how it has evolved
to this form. So as to explain all these he as a society started the study of
universe called as Cosmology.
Darwins theory of Evolution was sufficient enough to explain how life was
born in earth and how it has evolved to the present form. For the evolution
of life we got a handful of evidences in the forms fossils and genetics etc.
But as beginning and evolution of universe is concerned it is just like
searching for the bright spot in the darkest of the darkest. But still our
science and technology has managed to find certain evidences and proofs
which confirms the universe has a beginning. According to those
evidences and proofs certain theories are proposed for the beginning, the
most prominent one of those theories are The Big Bang.
Theological aspects plays a critical role in formulating the postulates of
origin of universe. Various religion considered the origin of Universe in
different ways. They have a common factor of God, an extreme super
power an external agency who started the instant of creation. He is still
there so if he wants he is still able to destroy the universe. So there came
the necessity to worship him and his religion. The oldest religion
Hinduism view was a cyclic reformation with a span of 8.6 billion years
in which a cycle of new universe creation and destruction where god plays
a supreme role of destruction and creation. It has not explained how the
process of creation and destruction is since it lies entirely with the gods.
Most of the religion concepts were almost same and will not explain the
process of creation and destruction since they are godly. But as for
science and atheism these explanation are not at all acceptable, they
analysed and created their own theories and postulates.
The initial concepts, were most of the philosophers believed was that the
universe has existed for an infinite time and will continue to exist for an
infinite time with no beginning of universe and hence there is no creator

for the universe and no divine intervention too. But for science their idea
of creation was the theory Big Bang. In this the universe has started
from an infinitesimally hot and dense singularity and expanded with an
instant called as cosmic inflation with an infinite rate from zero time to
reach much larger size. This point of singularity is considered to be the
origin of space and time where gravitational forces played an important
role in finalising the structure. But later modifications are added to
consider quantum physics too in the expansion phase. The expansion
phase of universe can be divided
in to Planck epoch, Quark epoch, Hadron epoch and the Lepton epoch
which remains only for 10S where the Planck epoch constituted the Big
bang instant. Followed by this was The Photon epoch lasted for 380
thousand year, during this cosmic microwave background is produced
which can be seen as an afterglow of big bang. Universe is always in the
state of continuous expansion and has expanded to galaxies stars and
everything with in this universe. It is always good to take Einsteins
Relativity principle and Stephen Hawkins theory about origin universe and
origin of time while explaining Big-Bang theory. From relativity principle
which stands as the basic for explaining the big bang, time and space are
dynamic shaped by energy and matter in the universe. From the concept
that galaxies are moving away has led to a conclusion that previously they
are together and indicates a strong proof for the Big Bang. So if Big bang
is there, scientists believed physics laws breaks down and external agency
like god has initiated and expansion since they are not able to give correct
explanation to the Big Bang by using relativity principle.
But later combining Quantum physics and relativity principle science has
given correct explanation to Big Bang and the expansion of the universe
just after Big Bang. The concept of time came after big bang only byproduct of big bang, so time before Big Bang is meaningless. According to
Stephen Hawkings probable histories of universe is just like bubbles in
boiling water. Enormous bubbles are created and collapsed. Some bubbles
may reach to size which are safe from collapse and they continue to
expand to form the universe. After much expansion they will collapse
again after sometime probable time he predicted is 20 billion years. So as
to prove that time has started from zero during big bang he proposed the
same can happen inside a black hole since black hole is having infinite
density and hence a singularity in terms of time and space. So as to
explain singularity in Big Bang new concepts are proposed in which space
and imaginary time is considered. From the imaginary it is possible to
calculate the state in real time and imaginary time does not contains any
singularity even though real time contains singularity. Universe is
modelled as a self-contained system. This principle is called as no

boundary principle. In this universe is expanded from an ordinary point no

singularity. No boundary condition explains rich and varied structure.
Universe is finite in space as well as imaginary in time as like a sphere. So
universe will collapse again probably by 15 billion years.
Big bang has been accepted by theology and science. As theology
considers god as an external agency and supreme power who initiated the
big bang and developed and designed the universe as like this and this
universe will continue to exist up to his wish as he is the super power.
While science has given correct explanation to Big Bang specifically
saying no divine intervention and time is product of big bang and time
before big bang is meaningless. Probably there can be an end to the
universe as well since universe is finite in space as well as imaginary in
time and expected time predicted by science is 15 billion years.
