The main objective of the symposium is to emphasize the issues that an individual with
reduced mobility in Lebanon and the Arab World can have with its seated positioning, the
role of the various parties in this field (experts, Third Party Payers ) as well as solutions
and/or proposed alternatives.
Indeed people with reduced mobility can suffer from a lack of control over their posture.
Their sitting position is very often characterized by an unstable and incorrect positioning,
which can, in the long term, cause irreversible and painful orthopedic deformations,
bedsores, respiratory problems and feeding problems. Daily life activities are also often
difficult to accomplish for them and sometimes even impossible.
The symposium is targeted towards professionals dealing with patients with reduced
mobility, healthcare industries, managers in NGOs, associations and universities as well
as sales agents for specialized equipment and Third Party Payers (Ministry of Health
and Social Affairs, Armed Forces, National Social Security Fund, workers cooperative)
Specialists from Lebanon and abroad will animate the various panel discussions.
