1:-Applications are invited for the appointment of Programme Officer (Pediatric Care) in Care Support Division,
Department of AIDS Control, New Delhi on contract basis.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide clear guidance to states to ensure full utilization of GFATM Round 2, 4 & 6 funds allocated for treating
children.
Support strengthening of monitoring and evaluation systems, correct use of data to scale up Pediatric AIDS
programme.
Support introduction of Pediatric AIDS management guidelines including diagnostic issues, Ols & ART.
Supervise supply chain management of Pediatric ARV drugs.
Ensure optimal programming linkages with Child Health Division of MOHFW, PPTCT, VCT, adult ART services and
technical issues related to PPTCT.
Provide technical assistance to states through regular field visits, guidance notes and feedback on performance
based on analysis of programme coverage data.
Convene TRG on Paediatric AIDS, provide inputs to TRG on ART/PPTCT under the supervision of DDG.
Develop and monitor one national scale up plan and coordinate inputs of NCICEF, WHO, WFP, Clinton Foundation
and International AIDS Alliance.
Providing technical support for issues related to Nutrition and HIV.
Research on Pediatric Care.
All issue related to OVC.
Any other task assigned by controlling officer.

Qualification and Experience


Essential:
Post graduate degree in Pediatrics or Public Health.
At least 5 years of extensive experience in working on issues of HIV with technical/clinical knowledge of
Pediatric AIDS management.
Excellent analytical skills, good writing skills in English and computer knowledge.

Remuneration: Rs. 76000 /- per month consolidated.


Duration: Initially the contract shall be till 31st March 2015. Subsequent re-contracting will be based on performance
assessment.

2:-Applications are invited for the appointment of Programme Officer (Monitoring & Evaluation) in Care Support
Division, Department of AIDS Control, New Delhi on contract basis.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Ensure the collection, compilation, quality control and analysis of all data pertaining to the ART programme
data in order to continuously monitor and assess all aspects of programme performance;
2. Lead the analysis of data from the monthly reports of ART centers to identify problems in data and
reporting quality; and coverage and quality of services at ART centers including rates of - treatment
adherence; loss to follow-up, missed, retrieved/reentered patients on treatment; and morality among People
Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA);
3. Lead the analysis of the outcomes of patient cohort initiated on ART at ART Facility, State and National level
and build the capacity of relevant personnel at the ART Facilities and concerned State Programme Managers
on such analysis;
4. Assist in the strengthening the Strategic Information Management System (SIMS) of the NACP and rollout of
Smart Cards for AIDS patients / PLHA;
5. Coordinate and implement the country strategy on monitoring and surveillance of HIV drug resistance
including preparation and facilitation of technical consultations on HIV D/R and early warning indicators of
treatment failure; and threshold surveys in HIV drug resistance;
6. Develop a plan for monitoring of adverse events of ARV drugs in the HIV/AIDS patient population through
establishment of a comprehensive and cost-effective pharmacovigilance programme;
7. Prepare technical and operations manuals; standard operating procedures; analytical reports; technical and
policy briefs; documentation on best practices and lessons leaned etc relevant to the area of responsibility;
Qualification and Experience
1.

Degree

in Medicine or other health related subject from a recognized university


2. Postgraduate degree or Diploma in Community / Preventive and Social Medicine or Public Health
or Epidemiology

Experience
Essential: At least 5 years experience in M & E .
Remuneration: Rs. 76000 /- per month consolidated.

Department of AIDS Control, New Delhi on contract basis.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing and monitoring of training of MOs and SMOs Training of Nurses, Counselors,
Laboratory Technicians, Pharmacists and Data managers at ART Centres and LACs.
Coordinate with the centers of excellence and the training institutes for TOTs..
Plan training for intersectoral partners like Railways, SAIL and Paramilitary.
Plan training for private practioners on rational ART regimen, UWP & PEP
Plan training for Health care Providers on UWP & PEP.
Evaluation of trainings for Care support & treatment
Monitoring centres of excellence with special emphasis on training related issues.
Laison with IGNOU for PG Diploma in HIV Medicine.
Laison with partners like TISS, INC on development of training modules & implementation of trainings
Assist in Supply Chain management of ARV drugs.
Coordinate for HR related issues in CST
Any other work assigned by controlling officer.

Qualification and Experience


Essential:
Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Public Health/ Health management with 5 years of experience in ART program.
Preference to be given to candidates who have experience in training activities for HIV.

4:-Applications are invited for the appointment of Programme Officer (ART ) in Care Support Division, Department of
AIDS Control, New Delhi on contract basis.
Duties and responsibilities
Analyze data from the monthly report of ART centres, and identify the problems in the quality of reporting, as
well as the quality of services at ART centres (like percentage of adherence, LFU rates, morality at ART centres,
Missed patients, PLHA, retrieved/ reentered in treatment etc).
Carry out assessment of requirement of new ART centres based on prevalence of HIV/AIDS and case-load of
PLHAs requiring ART
Monitoring of activities of existing ART centres in terms of physical infrastructure, appointment of personnel
and their training, enrollment of patients on ART, management of OIs, outcome of ART (mortality and
survival), quality of services, referral systems and linkages
Planning of training of faculty, MOs and other staff of ART centres at identified institutions and submit for
implementation.

Logistic management and monitoring of supply, consumption and stock of ARV drugs in coordination with
M&E Division.
Compile and prepare status reports and executive summaries for dissemination/ action/ feedback
Coordination with SACS, Development Partners, training institutions, NGOs and Private Sector
Issues related to ART in intersectoral area.
Any other work, as assigned by the Controlling Officer from time to time.

Qualification and Experience


Essential:
MD in Medicine or any other clinical discipline/MBBS + Diploma in any clinical discipline with three years of
experience/MBBS + Fellowship in HIV Medicine or Diploma in Public Health with five years of experience
Remuneration: Rs. 76000 /- per month consolidated.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of annual plan of action for Care, Support and Treatment
Compile

prepare
status
reports

summaries
for
reporting/dissemination/action/feedback.
Assist Programme Officer to assess requirement of new ART centres based on prevalence of HIV/AIDS

Liasion with SACS, Development Partners, training institutions, NGOs and Private Sector for
fulfillment of physical targets.
Any other work relating to treatment of PLHAs, ART services & other work as assigned by the
Controlling Officer from time to time.
Qualification and Experience
Essential:
Graduate in Medicine. Preference will be given to those with 2-3 years experience in the field of HIV AIDS Care,
Support & Treatment Programme and with good analytical skills, good writing skills in English and computer
knowledge.
Or
Graduate with Masters in Public Health/PG Diploma in Health Management with good analytical skills, good
writing skills in English and computer knowledge and with 2yrs experience in public health
Remuneration: Rs 47200 /- per month consolidated.

Duration: Initially the contract shall be till 31st March 2015. Subsequent re-contracting will be based on performance
assessment.
