REFLECTION

STRENGHT(S)
The lesson ran smoothly without any obstacle. The objectives were quite successful due to the
examples that have been given to them. At the end of the lesson, they can talk about how to help flood
victims but I needed to guide them to tell in complete sentences.

WEAKNESSES
Pupils unclear what do to, or do the wrong thing. The fact is, it was often my fault. My
instructions to a worksheet or activity looked of confusion and soft whispers among pupils.

SOLUTION
In order to avoid this problem, it is important to make sure my instructions are clear. Use
gestures, mime, and short concise sentences. Speak clear and strong. Most importantly, use models
and examples of the activity. I need to use pictures, miming, gestures etc. to model the entire activity
exactly how I want the students to do it.

REFLECTION
STRENGHT(S)
The pupils looked enjoy with the lesson because the activity was interesting. ESL games in the
language classroom are more than just a fun break from worksheets and textbooks. They are

important tools for addressing a variety of problems that can impede your ESL students' progress in
learning a language
WEAKNESSES
Students become overly dependent on teacher. Many times, students will automatically look to
me for correct answers instead of trying themselves. If the teacher obliges them with the answer each
time, it can become a detrimental problem.
SOLUTION
Focus on giving positive encouragement to students. This will help to make students more
comfortable and more willing to answer (even if incorrectly). Student learning will occur in proportion to
the effort that a student puts into learning. Therefore, a key task for the teacher is to encourage and
promote student effort. As we have seen, this can be a challenge, even if the teacher creates a
supportive learning environment, because many of the factors that influence student learning are
affected by the students overall attitude, likes and dislikes, feelings about a subject, activity or school
in general, and personality.

KEKUATAN
Murid mula menunjukkan reaksi positif semasa guru menyatakan hadiah akan diberi untuk hasil seni
yang paling menarik.
Sebilangan besar murid mampu menunjukkan hasil seni yang baik dan menarik.
KELEMAHAN
Terdapat beberapa golongan murid yang tidak memberi perhatian penuh terhadap hasil seni mereka.
Sebilangan mereka lebih cenderung untuk bersembang dan membuat kerja lain pada 20 minit terakhir.
PENYELESAIAN

Guru perlu memberitahu murid lebih awal tentang barang keperluan yang perlu di bawa.
Guru perlu lebih cekap dengan pengawalan masa, beberapa factor perlu diubah seperti pengagihan
kertas, penerangan teknik-teknik tertentu dan kesungguhan pelajar

STRENGHT(S)
The pupils could pronounce the words with ew and oe correctly. It is I modelled the reading
before they read. Modeling, explaining, and demonstrating are essential teaching activities if all
children are to learn to read and write. Teachers model the reading and writing processes by engaging
in them while children observe. Reading aloud to children, for instance, provides a model of how
reading sounds and how stories go.
WEAKNESSES
Strong dominance from certain pupils. In this class, I encounter pupils of different learning
capabilities and language skills. While it is good to have some pupils who excel in the classroom, it is
important that they do not take away from others.
SOLUTION
If certain pupils begin to constantly "steal the show," take warning. Focus on calling on weaker
pupils in the class to answer questions. Encourage, but gently deflect some answers from the strong
pupils and give production time to other not-so-strong members of the class. The use of pair and group
work is essential if you are to involve all the members of the class. A fundamental technique here is the

use of questionnaires and interviews. By pairing off weaker and stronger students and involving both in
the preparation and implementation of the questionnaire you should ensure maximum participation of
all the students. You can then get the weaker students to interview the stronger ones and vice-versa.
Of course, this may be frustrating for the stronger ones, but if they are able to see their role as that of
helper or even mentor, it may also have a positive effect.

STRENGTH
The activity that conducted was suit to the student level of proficiency so I could lead student away
from the boring lesson.
The selection of material was quite good. The material could help student to relate the activity with the
input of the lesson.
By using my big posture and loud voice projection, I manage to control my students behaviour but
there were still some students were out of my control
WEAKNESS
There were a little bit problem with the focus skill. According to year 2 learning standard the phonemes
suppose to be in reading while year 3 learning standard suppose to be in speaking.
There was still some activity that was too easy for some students. I should come out with more
challenging task for them.
The phonemes part should be write in // in the lesson plan it easier for me to give the instruction to the
students. I should write the instruction as sound not letter.
SOLUTION
I could come out with more catchy activity during the set induction stage. It could help me to catch
students attention and longer their attention span.
I could come out with some activity that really triggers students thinking skill.

Motivasi secara matang dan kaunseling harus dilakukan. Pendekatan autokratik tidak mampu memberi
kesan yang kekal terhadap tindakan mereka.

STRENGTH
Teaching material that I used were interesting, proved by my cooperating teacher.
My conducted activities were improving. And there are several gaps that could be improved.
WEAKNESS
My learning outcome needs to be improved. I need to relate it to my activity and keep tally to my
objective.

SOLUTION
In order to conduct an effective teaching, the first thing which I had done was to create a strong and
established classroom management. I need to know the pupils, identify those who will causes troubles
and plan my teaching in order to attract their attention as well as to suit their proficiency level in the
language. Again, teaching is not an easy task, lots of preparation should be done. One more things
that I really need to pay attention is the lesson plan for my teaching. I should always be ready for the
next lesson and indeed, I also need to show the lesson plan and the teaching materials to the mentor
teacher. It is important to create an effective learning and positive classroom environment.

STRENGTH
The learning materials are suitable for intermediate to high proficiency level pupils. It able to arouse their
curiosity in the language as it is challenging. However, the low to intermediate proficiency level pupils will find it
hard, often lost their focus during the lesson. It is hard for them to grasp the lesson.

WEAKNESS
My lesson is less effective due to the learning materials which is above proficiency level of students

SOLUTION
One of the lessons which we had learned in institute is about material adaptation. I need to adapt the teaching
materials in order to make it suitable for mix ability pupils in the classroom. However, as they are generally
considered as intermediate proficiency level pupils, I need to adjust the materials to suit those who are in lower
to intermediate proficiency.
