(18711948)LeaderofOhmoto,aJapaneseShintosect.BornasKisaburoUeda.Whenhewasheavilyinjuredina
scufflewithlocalgangstersin1898,hewasrunningadairyfirm.Duringhisdaysboundinbed,hisspiritgot
spiritualtraininginnearbyTakakumamountain.Afterhisrecoveryhestartedhealingworksandstudying
"Chinkonkijin",aJapanesewaytobepossessed.In1899hereceivedadivineinstructiontogotoSonobe,andon
thewaytoSonobe,hemetHisaDeguchi,adaughterofNaoDeguchi,thefounderofOhmoto.In1900hemarried
SumiDeguchi,anotherdaughterofNaoandchangedhisnameasOnisaburoDeguchi.Heissaidtobethegreatest
prophetinJapan.Heleftmanypropheticodesandsaidtohavepredictedthesecondworldwar,Japanesedefeat
andtheatomicbombinHiroshimaandNagasaki.His"Reikaimonogatari"(storiesofthespiritworld)issaidto
bepredictionstillthe50thcentury.

(18831956)Bornasadoctor'sson,hewasweakandinfirmwhenhewasaboy.Butwhenhewas18,hestudied
medicalbooksandstartedhisownmethodoftrainingtobeaphysicaltrainer.In1917hewasadoptedtoHida
family.Hecontinuedhistrainingandin1923hefeltthestrongenergygushingoutfromhislowerabdomen.Then
henamedthisenergy"Chushinryoku"(theCentralenergy),andoriginofit"Seichushin"(therealcenter).After
thatheperformedmanymiraculousphenomenalikeshootingawirebyarrowwithhisfacecovered,recitingbook

tobethefounderofShingonschoolofJapaneseBuddhism.ThisShingonschoolisfamousforitsemphasison
magiclitualsandmagicformula.Manymiraclesareattributedtohimasthathecalledrainmanytimes,litfireby

ThenshehadheardofChizukoMifuneandshetrainedtohavethesameability.Dr.TomokichiFukuraishowed
hisinterestinherandexaminedherability.Oneday,Dr.Fukuraiaskedhertoseewhatwasonanundeveloped
photographicplateinanenvelope,andaftertheexperimenthefoundstrangespotsontheplate.Hethoughtthat
someunknownenergyradiatedfromIkuko'sbodymadethesesspotsandtheorizedthatshecanrecordshapesin
hermindonphotographicplates.FkuraicalledthisphenomenaNensha,Nentelegraphy.ButDr.Yamakawa
doubtedthisphenomenasotwosidesmadeajointexperimentonher.WhentheygaveanenvelopetoIkuko,she
insistedthattherewasnotingintheenvelope.Itwastrue.Theyforgetinsertingplatebymistake.SoonAfterthis
incidentshediedofpneumonia.

(18971963)realnamewasNobuyukiOkamoto.HewasamemberofOmoto,aJapaneseShintosect.In
1944,whenhevisitedAmanohitsukujinjashrine,hishandbegantomoveautomatically.Sincethen,hewrotea
divinemessagecalledHitsukuShinji.SomebelievethatthisHitsukuShinjiisthelastdivinemessagefromthe
godofOmoto.

Osanami(Toshie)

(18631907)Whenshewas21,shebecameunabletotakeanyfood,lostherperiodsandevacuation,andwas
possessedatnight.Latersheobtainedaspecialabilityofapportandcouldbringdivinewaterinsealedbottles.
Thiswatercouldhealanydiseasesbutshewasarrestedasafraud.Aftershefilledabottlewithdivinewater
undersurvailanceofthecourt,shewasdeclaredinnocent.
