TORONTO (May 15, 2015) - The Building Owners and Managers Association of the Greater Toronto Area (BOMA Toronto)
celebrated building and management excellence at its 17th annual Celebration of Excellence Awards Gala on May 14th at the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto. The evening was attended by close to 500 real estate professionals recognizing their peers at the
commercial real estate event of the year. The MC for the evening was the co-Host of CityTVs Breakfast Television, Kevin
Frankish.
BOMA Toronto Chair, Maryanne McDougald presented the Associations prestigious awards alongside special guest presenters,
Benjamin Shinewald, BOMA Canada President, Susan Allen, BOMA Toronto President, David Miller, President & CEO WWF
Canada, Joe Bile, Manager of CDM Program Delivery & Business Development, Toronto Hydro, John Oliver, BOMA Fellow,
Chair & Chief Elected Officer, BOMA International, Randal Frobelius, BOMA Canada Chair and President, Equity ICI Real
Estate Services and Antoinette Tummillo, Executive Vice President, Colliers International. Honoured guests the Honourable Glen
Murray, Ontario Minister of the Environment and Climate Change and Kailie Sermat-Harding, Assistant Deputy Minitser,
Conservation and Renewable Energy Division, Ministry of Energy were also in attendance.
The 2015 Celebration of Excellence Awards Program consisted of: The Building of the Year Award; the Earth Awards,
recognizing excellence in environmental management; the Certificates of Building and Management Excellence, recognizing
quality in buildings and their management teams; the coveted Pinnacle Awards for Customer Service; the BOMA Toronto Earth
Hour Challenge Awards.
