Case study

Before the respective solutions for the problems on farms beekeepers have to
ask: How do the bees live?
Bees live in hives for about 50,000 bees (in spring can reach 80,000), with a
single Queen who is the leader of all the hive
The Queen is the mother of the family and the only perfect Queen. Only they
can lay eggs fertilized or not fertilized. The unfertilized born worker bees, of the
non-fertilized out drones.
Workers (imperfect females), performed all household chores, from caring for
the eggs until the hive cleaning.
Drones (males of the species), have as a main mission fertilize future Queens,
although they also help workers even in unintended ways.
Both the Queen and the workers and males cannot live long separated; their
interdependence is key to the survival of the colony.
Bees have an organization that is not matched by other species, with a
distribution of complex tasks, and a single Queen mother who exercises power
while it is strong and vigorous, all together progress, separately they die in a
few hours.
Important characteristics of bees:
Bee always for groups
The Queen is always in the hive
They are a magnificent flying
Only leaving day
Are used to carry heavy loads
His vision is faster than that of a human being
Each hive has a respective smell.

Solutions for every problem on farms beekeepers in the mountains of our

country.
Identification of bees from each farm.

Each bee is directly related to his diaper. Each diaper is different from the rest
by having a characteristic odor, smell that all bees honeycomb. To identify the
bees from each farm it makes use of an electronic nose that uses nano sensors
and has a sensitivity equal to or greater than the smell of a dog.
This electronic nose will allow us to identify that bee is each farm in a fast and
effective way.

Identification of the zone of bees feed.

To identify the area of feeding of bees a harmonic radar was used to follow the
route of a few bees. The antenna is attached to his chest and has a diode in the
Center to be able to track the signal; This antenna weighs only one-tenth of
their body body so for them it would be very easy to take them.
The signal sent from the insect looks like a point in movement similar to those
seen on the ships radar screen.

Accurately depicts how far is bee and in which direction flies. A computer
program reconstructs the trajectory of flight.

As count the bees from each farm:

For this purpose be designs and builds an infrared electronic meter movements
for bees. The electronic circuit triggered by an infrared beam features 04
displays for four digits that can be programmed to add each one, two, four, etc.
To facilitate the development of the electronic circuit is designed an entrance of
special features
