Need for the Program: Everyone in life wants a piece of the pie of success,
prosperity, and the pursuit of economic/financial satisfaction. Your tween/teen early
start today can lead to an incredible brighter future for tomorrow. The programs
mission is to provide all tweens/teens with the necessary resources that are not
normally available and professional-insight on how to operate and thrive in this upand-down world of economics/finances. In addition, the programs vision is to
provide inner city teens and teens alike the skills, knowledge, proper guidance, and
competency in the system of capitalism and life itself. Overall, the children who are
successful in the program can help mentor other inner- city youths in different
communities/neighborhoods. The programs mission aligns with our libraries
mission to help and provide resources for everyone regardless of race, creed, or
gender.
Potential Community Partner: This unique program is library
based/concentrated. I would ask certain adults of various occupations to give advice
about the balance of life and the daily-task of staying abreast of the two systems of

economics/finances. Maryland PROMISE would be a great potential community

partner candidate for the I.C.Y.E. C.R.E.W.
