Korean Government Scholarship Program

Purpose
To provide international students with the opportunity to conduct advanced studies of
undergraduate & graduate programs at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Korea in
order to promote international exchange in education mutual friendship between countries
Available fields universities
Undergraduate course: 4-year courses at designated universities
University transferring is not allowed. (e.g. Starting studies at the junior year is not allowed.)
- Graduate course: Master's or Ph.D. courses at general graduate schools of Korean universities
Total Candidates for Selection in 2012
100 persons (undergraduate course), 300 persons (graduate course)
Korea Language Training
Grantees are required to take Korean language training courses within 1 year at the language
institution placed on the domestic universities. (Except for those who reach a certain level of
Korean language fluency more than level 5 in TOPIK.)

Qualifications
Both an applicant and his/her parents must possess the citizenship of the country of origin.
Applicants should not be a holder of Korean citizenship.
- Applicants should have adequate health, both mentally physically, to stay in a foreign country for
a long time.
- Should be under 25 years of age as of the date of entrance. (Undergraduate)
- Should be under 40 years of age as of the date of entrance. (Graduate)
- Have finished or be scheduled to finish formal education of elementary, middle, high school
courses as of the date of arrival. (Undergraduate)

- Hold a Bachelor degree,a Master's degree as of the date of arrival. (Graduate)

Applicants who have ever enrolled in a university in Korea will be disqualified from applying to
the KGSP program. Specifically, an applicant who has previously enrolled in an undergraduate
program, a masters program, a doctoral program or an exchange program in Korea cannot apply
for this program.
However, a KGSP scholar who has graduated or will graduate from a Korean university as of
August 31st, 2013 can apply for this program again only via the embassy if only he/she holds at
least TOPIK Level 4 and obtain another recommendation within the allotment from the Korean
Embassy of his/her respective country of origin (re-application is limited to one instance).
- Possess a grade point average (G.P.A.) above 80% from the last educational institution attended
have earned top 20% of G.P.A. among classmates. (Common)
Procedure for the Scholarship Award
NIIED requests the Korean Embassy in the invited country or the domestic university concerned
to recommend Candidates.
Applicants should submit all documents related to their scholarship application to the Korean
Embassy in their country of residence to or the domestic university concerned.
The Korean Embassy or the domestic university concerned sends proper candidates to NIIED
with required documents.
NIIED evaluates proper candidates and notifies the Korean Embassy of the final KGSP

Program Beasiswa Pemerintah Korea
Tujuan
Untuk memberikan siswa internasional dengan kesempatan untuk melakukan studi
lanjutan dari program sarjana & pascasarjana di lembaga pendidikan tinggi di
Republik Korea dalam rangka untuk mempromosikan pertukaran internasional
dalam pendidikan saling persahabatan antara negara-negara
Bidang yang tersedia universitas
Sarjana: program 4 tahun di universitas yang ditunjuk
Universitas mentransfer tidak diperbolehkan. (Misalnya Mulai studi di tahun junior
tidak diperbolehkan.)
- Program Pascasarjana: Guru atau Ph.D. kursus di sekolah pascasarjana umum
universitas Korea

Pelatihan Bahasa Korea
Penerima diminta untuk mengambil kursus pelatihan bahasa Korea dalam waktu 1
tahun di lembaga bahasa ditempatkan di universitas negeri. (Kecuali untuk mereka
yang mencapai tingkat tertentu dari Korea kelancaran bahasa lebih dari tingkat 5 di
TOPIK.)

Kualifikasi
Kedua pemohon dan / orang tuanya harus memiliki kewarganegaraan dari negara
asal.
Pelamar tidak harus menjadi pemegang kewarganegaraan Korea.
- Pelamar harus memiliki kesehatan yang memadai, baik secara mental fisik, untuk
tinggal di luar negeri untuk waktu yang lama.
- Harus di bawah 25 tahun pada tanggal masuk. (Sarjana)
- Harus di bawah 40 tahun pada tanggal masuk. (Lulus)
- Apakah selesai atau dijadwalkan untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan formal SD, SMP,
kursus sekolah tinggi pada tanggal kedatangan. (Sarjana)
- Tahan gelar Sarjana, gelar Master pada tanggal kedatangan. (Lulus)

Pelamar yang pernah terdaftar di sebuah universitas di Korea akan didiskualifikasi

dari yang berlaku untuk program KGSP. Secara khusus, pemohon yang sebelumnya
telah terdaftar dalam program sarjana, program master, program doktor atau
program pertukaran di Korea tidak dapat mengajukan permohonan untuk program
ini.
Namun, seorang sarjana KGSP yang telah lulus atau akan lulus dari universitas
Korea pada 31 Agustus 2013 dapat mengajukan permohonan untuk program ini lagi
hanya melalui kedutaan kalau saja dia / dia memegang setidaknya TOPIK Level 4
dan mendapatkan rekomendasi lain dalam penjatahan dari Kedutaan Korea / nya
masing-masing negara asalnya (re-aplikasi terbatas pada satu contoh).
- Memiliki nilai rata-rata (IPK) di atas 80% dari lembaga pendidikan terakhir yang
dihadiri telah mendapatkan 20% dari IPK antara teman sekelas. (Umum)
Prosedur untuk Penghargaan Beasiswa
NIIED meminta Kedutaan Besar Korea di negara diundang atau universitas negeri
yang bersangkutan untuk merekomendasikan Calon.
Pelamar harus menyerahkan semua dokumen yang berkaitan dengan aplikasi
beasiswa mereka ke Kedutaan Korea di negara tempat tinggal mereka atau
universitas negeri yang bersangkutan.
Korea Kedutaan atau universitas negeri yang bersangkutan mengirimkan calon yang
tepat untuk NIIED dengan dokumen yang diperlukan.
NIIED mengevaluasi kandidat yang tepat dan memberitahukan Kedutaan Korea dari
KGSP akhir
