RE: Delegation of Authority Program pursuant to 287(g) of the Immigration and

Naturalization Act

I am writing to inform you that upon consideration of all the aspects of the "287g"
program and our present resources it would not be beneficial for the Bervvick
Police Department to pursue such an undertaking. The present professional
relationship we have has been outstanding and very effective and although the
program has merit, it would be impossible for the Department to do it the justice it
deserves.

As always, I thank you for the efforts and professionalism extended to the
Berwick Police Department and we are always at your disposal. Please feel free
to contact me on this or any matter of mutual concern.

Sincerely,
