B. Procedure
To replace a valve or to install a valve in a flowmeter without a valve, proceed as follows:
1. Proceed with substep a if replacing an existing valve or proceed with substep b if no
valve is presently installed.

Remove Mylar label (2) then remove plug and o-ring (3).
NOTE:
Before proceeding verify that you have the correct valve kit for your
flowmeter and that the orifice is correct.
2. Check that the o-ring and valve seat is on the new valve and insert the valve (1) into
the front of the end block (4) of the flowmeter body
3. Rotate the valve body clockwise until it is firmly seated in the end block. Refer to Table
4 for proper torque.

FLOWMETER VALVE OPERATION
When operating the flowmeter valve to control flow, stop closing the valve when the float
drops to the bottom stop. Continuing to close after this point can cause excessive valve
seat wear, resulting in poor performance and early replacement of the valve seat.
