uliette T. Robertson is the principal

attorney of Robertson | Adams, Trust
and Estate Attorneys in Lincoln. The
firm was previously known as Adams &
Hayes Law and was owned by 15-year
Lincoln attorney Therese A. Adams. Ms.
Robertson took over leadership of the
firm after Ms. Adams retired in December 2014. Ms. Robertson has the fortune
of building upon Ms. Adams successful
career and looks forward to personalizing the business and its approach to
estate planning and administrations.
Ms. Robertson lives in Lincoln with
her husband Stephen, an attorney in
Sacramento, their two little girls, Jillian
(3) and Allison (20 months), and their
dogs Frank and Zoey. She was raised
along the Central Coast of California and
is the oldest of three. Ms. Robertson
attended UCLA for her undergraduate
studies (Physiological Sciences/Spanish), spent a year abroad in Southern
Spain, and completed a Masters degree
in Public Health at Boston University
before pursuing legal studies at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of
Law in Sacramento. Her legal career has
always been focused on elder/dependent adult and health care issues and
she has been with estate planning firms
since 2010. Ms. Robertson is currently a
candidate for the California State Bar
Legal Specialization in Estate Planning,
Trust and Probate Law and a regular lecturer for continuing education for attorneys and professional fiduciaries in the

When Mike Daley sits down at his potters wheel, he is

never sure how the piece will turn out.
With a raw ball of clay in hand, the Lincoln Hills artist
lets the clay choose its own form.
Really and truly, I kind of let the clay move me, Daley
said. There are times that I have an idea as to what I want
to throw but usually I just sit down at my wheel and
throw. I am sort of an in the now potter.
After throwing the clay, the artistic part of the process
begins, Daley said.
I let it (the clay) dry and then off to the kiln for bisque
firing. When it comes out of bisque, it is ready for glazing,
Daley said. The glazing process, in my opinion, is what
makes or breaks the finished work. Anyone can throw a
pot on the wheel, but to put that special glaze finish on it
is what makes the piece.

Thunder Valleys Summer Concert Series runs June 6 through Sept. 26

The annual Summer Concert Series at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln features some class acts,
including Willie Nelson, George Thorogood and the Psychedelic Furs.
We are excited to kick off our sixth annual Summer Concert Series at Thunder Valley Casino Resort,
said Douglas Elmets, Thunder Valley Casino spokesman. We have a very well-rounded series of bigname entertainers that will perform in our Outdoor Amphitheater and we anticipate tickets to sell out
quickly.
As of press time, the Willie Nelson concert on July 17 still had tickets left but barely.
The floor seats for Willie Nelson are completely sold out. There are bleacher seats available now but
this will sell out, Elmets said May 28. The Tesla Show and Summer Jam are anticipated to see out
soon.

produce at Farmers Markets

With the start of summer comes a great opportunity to buy

locally-grown produce at Farmers Markets every week.
Not only are the farmers selling healthy food but its often
grown organically.
Why should residents check out Farmers Markets?
Youll buy produce grown locally and its fresh. Its about
building a relationship with farmers in your backyard. Thats
the focus because you know who is supplying your produce
and your meat, said PlacerGROWN spokesman Patrick
Storm. Your dollars are staying local. The majority of farms
in California are small family-owned farms. The fact of the
matter, these are small businesses trying to make their mark
on the world and its about helping your neighbors who may
be selling your strawberries, honey, meats garlic and eggs.
Two PlacerGROWN Farmers Markets are in Rocklin. One is
at RC Willey at Blue Oaks Center, 6636 Lonetree Blvd., from
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, June 6 through Nov. 21. The
other is at Finnish Hall, Rocklin Road at S. Grove Street from
8 a.m. to noon Thursdays May 28 through Aug. 27.
Lincoln has two Sierra Fresh Farmers Markets produced by
Salle Orchards.
One market is at the Lincoln Hills parking lot at 965
Orchard Creek Lane from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays May 20
through Nov. 18.
The other market is in downtown Lincoln on F and 5th
streets from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays June 11 to Aug. 27. The Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the popular
weekly Farmers Market and Summer Nights event, which
includes live music and other vendors offering arts and crafts,
commercial food and nonprofit information. Each week, a
large basket of produce donated by the Farmers Market vendors is raffled off. New this year is a kids zone and SNAP Benefits, according to Debra Bellis, the chambers
membership/event manager.
The Thursday Night Family Fest returns to downtown
Loomis June 4 with nine weeks of fun for all ages and some
local farmers selling items.
