FFI Explanatory Notes


This version is dated September 2008 (and replaces the May 2007 version).
2. When completing this form electronically use the TAB or mouse to move between fields.
3. The Sales person, in consultation with their Pre-Sales Analyst, MUST complete page 1 of this document
and subsequent pages as required.
4. The field for expected print volume is to confirm that the customer expectations are correctly set for the
product. Basic Install is the charge specified in the Price List for simple installation, a multiplier may be
calculated on this figure if the Weekend Install box is checked. Any support activity over and above that
specified in the price list must be listed in the Services section. If more than 5 instances of a printer
driver are to be installed, the additional charge for this should also be indicated here to facilitate cost
recovery.
5. The Pre-Sales Analyst, in consultation with the customer, should complete pages 2 and 3. The section on
substrates is to verify that specific media / stock type is suitable for the product and should prompt
customer expectation setting. Any additional software products to be installed in support of the Xerox
hardware can be specified in the table on page 3, e.g. Remote Printer, PDF Colour Splitter, Freeflow
Partner Products, etc. Where the customer requires additional infrastructure prior to install such as
software or an external connection to the internet it should be recorded on the FFI. The customer
expectation document being provided to the customer is a critical activity
6. Page 3 now has a section to make note of the Pre-requisites a customer requires to implement the
solution, e.g. XMPie may require an external internet connection or exchange server setup.
7. TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION -CRITICAL CONTROLS: All FFI activity is intended to drive a
supportable implementation of Xerox Product & Solutions; failure to achieve sign off in any
one or more area must be an exception.
8. This document can be customised to meet local requirements but the basic information shown here must
be retained.
9. Page 3 is required by the Welwyn Garden City Software Library in order to be able to issue the correct
licenses.
10. Please note depending on the information recorded on this document the pages within the document
may increase.
