Northern Alberta oil sands resources with capital expenditures of 26 billion $ in 3 years to reach a
production level of 550,000 barrels per day. .
 As Category manager for the logistics field, developed and managed the strategy to optimize the
logistics activities across the Major Project teams, the mining & manufacturing operations and the
distribution groups.
 Implemented a market response plan to reduce expenditures by 25% and introduced a Category
Management approach to optimize Logistics activities.

KRUGER 2003-2008
Logistics Manager
Kruger is a Paper Products manufacturer with operations mainly in Eastern Canada and in the USA.
 Managed the distribution network and the logistic activities for the consumer products division.
 Increased the productivity of the operations of the corporate distribution centers by over 20% and
achieved a major reduction of the operation costs in a price decreasing market.
 Negotiated agreements with 3PL partners, relocated multiple distribution operations, improved the
operational processes and introduced new SAP management tools. The division was ranked by the
suppliers as the best service provider for two consecutive years.

ASTEC ADVANCE POWER SYSTEMS 1999-2003


Director, Global Logistics
ASTEC is a supplier or power systems for the telecom industry. The systems are manufactured in Asia and
Mexico, and distributed in North America and Europe. The functions were to build a global forecasting
system to plan the manufacturing operations, and to manage the worldwide logistics activities.
 Developed a world wide team of collaborative planners located at customer sites.
 Opened Marshalling centres operated by third-party logistic providers in the USA and
Canada.
 Opened VMI Hubs to improve the service offered to major accounts.

Branch Manager
Kuehne and Nagel is a third-party logistic provider present in more than 60 countries.
 Responsible for the profitability of the Quebec branch, including the
development of new business opportunities and the management of the
operation. The main centre offered logistic services to customers such as;
Borden, Honda, Domtar, Suzuki, Flecto and Nadiscorp.
 Gained experience in distribution of various commodities including automotive
parts, paper products, chemicals, food and hardware.
 Implemented a complete re-structuring of the Branch, achieving a profitability level.
 Re-negotiated the collective agreement.

STEINBERG 1985-1994
Distribution Manager
Steinberg was a company in the food distribution and retail business.
 Managed a large dry food distribution facility with a very high turnover.
 Worked as Plant Manager for Trillium-Quebec, in charge of the fresh meat and frozen food
distribution operations for the Company.
 Worked with multi-disciplinary teams to implement projects in logistics, management information
system and distribution.
 Combined the fresh & frozen food distribution facilities; introduced time standard measurements
and participated as a member of the installation team for a new WMS.

QUEBEC LIQUOR BOARD (SAQ) 1983-1985


Production co-ordinator
 Managed the logistics of moving products from vendors to the distribution centres, and provided the
support required to distribute efficiently to different retail points.
 Implemented a system to control the productivity and installed automated distribution equipment to
improve the material flow.
