1. Introduction
Marketing research is "the process or set of processes that links the consumers, customers,
and end users to the marketer through information information used to identify and define
marketing opportunities and problems; generate, refine, and evaluate marketing actions;
monitor marketing performance; and improve understanding of marketing as a process.
Marketing research specifies the information required to address these issues, designs the
method for collecting information, manages and implements the data collection process,
analyzes the results, and communicates the findings and their implications."
I chose the topic " Attitudes, opinions and behaviors of the students at
Transilvania Univ. regarding Employees Engagement because I truly believe that
students of Transilvania University are going to be part of the future work force on the
market and at the moment they dont take into consideration this aspect of their
actual/future jobs.
The reason why I chose to conduct a marketing research about employees engagement
among Transilvania Universitys students is because I want to highlight the fact that the
involvement and engagement of students employees in their jobs is not very high, even
though it has a big impact on their future career and employers company development at
the same time.
My analysis reflects as well which is the percentage of students in this situation, of not
acknowledging the importance of employees engagement in their professional life.
The company that may use this marketing research can be "Transiris Corporation, a
corporation with headquarters in San Francisco, US and offices spread all around the
world, which is continuously developing their activity and employees.

3. Research methodology
Methods of research
Through this research I want to study the Attitudes, opinions and behaviors of Transilvania
Universitys students regarding Employees Engagement. If we take into consideration the
focus of the research activity, this research is applicative because it is helpful for finding
information about what jobs, revenues are students expecting from their jobs, and what
inspires/motivates them in their professional life. If we consider the marketing problem, it is a
descriptive research because we want to determine the attitudes, opinions, intentions and
behaviors of Transilvania Universitys students regarding employees engagement. If we
consider this type of information obtained through this research, this is a quantitative type of
research.
All the data contained in this research was collected through online surveys only.
n=
z*p*q/E
n= the size of the sample
2
If we consider the error=5% and the confidence interval of 95% for which z=1.96, we
consider p=q=1 and the formula is it follows:
PG. 7
n = z/2 x p ( 100 p ) / E =
= 1.96 x 100 x 100 / 5 =
= 1536.64
Because the number of students is large, I interviewed 100 of them from Transilvania
University.
The error is calculated as follows:
PG. 8
In order to obtain the needed information, I have used a questionnaire which contains 18
questions concerning employees engagement among students. The questions I have formulated
are simple and short to encourage the respondent to answer more easily. I have tried to avoid
ambiguity and use phrases that are common to daily language and the questionnaire as well
does not contain questions which cover more than 1 issue at once. The introduction questions
are simple and concern general information, simple opinions giving the respondent the
opportunity of feeling comfortable to give concrete answers, the difficult questions are placed
in the middle part of questionnaire, but also mixed with simple ones not to bore the respondent.
The last questions are simple, concerning only their aspects.4. Research results
