ATHLETE PROFILE

My name is Kieran Norris. I am 19 years old and live in

Little Dunmow, Essex.
I started skiing in Obergurgl, Austria when I was very young.
By the time I was 8 I was skiing with people twice my age
in ski school. For the next few years I went skiing with my
Dad and the ski club of Great Britain where I skied off-piste
frequently and developed a strong base for my technique.
In 2008 I wanted to try racing, so I went for a trial at the
British ski academy and I loved it. In my first race
I qualified to compete at the British Championships.
Due to being a late starter to racing, in the next few years
I didnt gain much success in races.
In 2010 when I reached the minimum age to compete in
international races, I got a place at the elite Ambition race
team. From that point onwards I improved massively
and was awarded with a place on the England ski team in 2013 and the BSS CIT squad.
In 2014 I decided to change nationality and ski for Ireland which allows me to plan further into the
future. Last season I competed at the World Junior Championships and I am looking to compete in the
2017 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics.
I am dedicated to my sport and I work very hard to improve in all areas, which has allowed
me to progress, achieve great results and become the NUMBER ONE male slalom and giant slalom
skier in Ireland.

SPONSORSHIP

How you can help me...

I am now a full time athlete which means each day is filled by racing or
training, on and off skis. As this is my full-time career I need to make it
sustainable and can no longer rely on support from my parents.
I am looking to cover my costs for the season.
A season costs approximately 35,000 40,000.
Equipment and products are very useful to boost performance and save on
costs, but more importantly,
I need to be able to pay for
my travel, accommodation
and coaching fees.

Can you help me reach my

goals and fulfil my dream?
