NATURE OF JOB

To comply the safety law, norms, and standards, work permit system
safe work procedure.
To coordinate and motivate the safety educational and training
programme among workers.
To promptly inculcate the sprit of safety workers by launching safety
campaign in the form of observing safety weeks and through other audio
visual aids including arranging contents, talks and seminars on safety , to
organize safety promotional activities.
To identify hazardous task and process as well as hazardous zone in
ten work place with suitable demarcation of such zones.
To keep in redline fire fighting squad, medical support and first aid help
for the personal during the shutdown job.
To report regularly perform as well as accident trends.
To ensure that personal protective equipment are in working condition
and being used by workers in hazardous situations.

To inspect fire fighting equipment and to see that they are in working
conditions.
To arrange mock fire-fighting drill from time to time in addition to fire
protection survey.
To update review and enforce the fire detection and fore control system
in additional training and educational programmes on fire prevention
and fighting.
Checking of PPE such as safety shoes, safety helmet, goggles, hand
gloves, safety harness.
Conduct tool box meeting.
Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Welding
Inspection of tools and equipment used in welding process
check for adequate ventilation of exhaust fans for extraction of fumes.
House Keeping
Check all stairways, passageways and gangways
kept free from materials and obstruction of any kind should be
removed.
Working at Height
Check weather worker are using safety
harness. If they are working at above 2 mtrs., height inertia reel / fall
arrester used while moving at height.
Confined Space Check entry permit before one enters confined space
for adequate light and ventilations.
