EXTENDED ABSTRACT

Crude Enhancer Petroanzotegui CA, a subsidiary of PDVSA, located in the

Petrochemical Complex Jose Antonio Anzoategui, is designed and authorized to
process the extra-heavy crude from the Zuata (Junn Camp) region of the Orinoco
Oil Belt, so that can be converted or transformed into synthetic crude higher value,
where a series of physical and chemical processes that ensure obtaining a high
quality product in full compliance with the requirements demanded by customers
are involved.
Among its facilities the breeder has an amine regeneration unit, which is
responsible for stripping contaminants absorbed by the solution which is used in
gas recovery unit, for the sweetness of it. Added to the amine regeneration unit, is
the Skid amine, which is in charge of removing generated salts thermoset after
contact between the solution (alkaline) and acid gases.
The Skid Amine is an integrated unit amine regeneration and therefore the
operational manual that unit only superficially addresses the information relating to
Skid Amine, handset is why the need arises to develop a manual that allows staff
breeder and any person authorized to interact in some way with this unit, knowing
the functioning of Skid Amine and procedures for the implementation and correct
operation thereof.
One goal of any company should be to evolve, and it must differentiate itself
from competitors by building a long-term competitive advantage that will satisfy
your customers and ensure good status among the other companies in the market.
In practice, companies have few really differentiators. Almost all of its assets are
available in the market can buy any company in the sector. However, knowledge is

the only asset that is not in the market, and therefore has a very high value and
can certainly be a differentiator.
A Manual collects and reflects such knowledge in a clear and understandable
manner. Therefore, the professional practices played an important role, to be
based on the development of manual operation, control and safety Skid removal of
thermostable salt thereof, amine regeneration unit (ARU), PDVSA Petroanzotegui
enhancer, Pealver municipality of Anzoategui state.
The development of professional practices proved to be a great experience in
the Breeder Petroanzotegui, not only because the breeder gave the opportunity
for professional practices, also due to the support received by staff in the
development of this project, which was out in the Operations Department.

Operations staff provided information concerning the processes taking place

in the breeder as well as control them. Also provided a major contribution
engineers automation department, they played a major role in the implementation
and operation of Skid Amine Unit 33, and thus became a vital source of information
on the project. The help given by the people of automation proved to be very
helpful.
As well as the Document Control department, because this is much of the
theory and techniques of great help develop professional practices compiled
databases.
The objectives of professional practices were met, and the result is a
strengthening experience as an individual and as a professional. In the table below,

A professional should not limit their knowledge only to the area that
encompasses his career. No knowledge is to spare. If somehow applicable in the
performance of their duties. In the development of professional practices not only
concerning the assigned project contributions were made. In addition, I offer a
small contribution is by working in conjunction with the automation department in
developing an interface that improved control unit studied in professional practices
(Amine Skid unit 33).
