First of all, thanks for reading my FAQ.
A thing you should know before stepping into the world of Rorona's
is that the game is tedious and time sensitive. It would be a good idea
to read through any character requirements ahead of time or you will find
yourself playing through the game multiple times.
With 14 different endings, each with it's own requirements, you will
need to make multiple saves through the game to make sure you don't make
any mistakes. I will explain this more in the ending section of this
guide. I will try and guide you through this overwhelming information in
the least amount of playthroughs possible, but mistakes are possible and
you do not have to follow my advice.

Some skills are achieved through leveling (2 attack skills and 2 passive
skills), while others are dependent on which weapon the character is
equipped with.
Unique Skills & Passive Skills - The two attack/passive skills that you
get through leveling.
Expanded Skills & Expanded Passives - Learned through by equiping various
weapons.
Extra Skill - Usable when battle affinity reaches 5 (uber skill).

Battle

This game is a standard turn-based one, with no real learning curve

for previous JRPG players. That being said, there are a few things that
are different and I will cover them here.
Every character has the below options:

Fight
Skill
Defend
Escape
Rorona on the other hand, is the only Item user (much like Atelier
Iris' Synthesis option for the main character). She can use anything in
her container that she has made or found previously.

HP instead of MP

|
Unlike other JRPG's, which use MP to cast spells and use skills, |
|this game uses HP. Every skill has a certain cost that the player
|
|must first expend, if they don't have the HP, then they cannot use the |
|skill. This means that healing requires the character to sacrifice HP |
|to heal themself or others.

Skills and Affinity
|
|=======================================================================|
|
Some skills you learn through leveling, but most are expanded
|
|versions of the original skills. The expanded skills depends on the
|
|weapons that the character is currently equipped with. This means that |
|when the battle gauge gets to a certain level of affinity to the
|
|character, they get the expanded skill.
|
|
|
|
When I talk about affinity I am refering to the two elemental bars |
|in the bottom left. Think of these two bars as two seperate entities, |
|each holding two elements (opposites).
|
|
|
|
|
|An example of this:
|
| Iksel naturally learns Slam, My Special, Tasty East, and Chef's Fave. |
|
|
|With the Normal Pan or Training Wok he gets Brain Shaker and Special |
|Dinner as expanded skills. In order to get access to Special Dinner, |
|the battle gauge must have a level 1 earth element on it. You can get |
|this by using Slam to build the earth side of the gauge up. If another |
|character (say Sterk) or an enemy uses a Wind element attack, the gauge|
|will go in reverse toward zero (possibly turning into Wind). The same |
|goes for Fire and Water. If the scale manages to meet level 5 of their |
|affinity they will be able to use a extra skill at zero HP cost.

The only other information to note is that the other characters in your
party require a fee every time you go to a dungeon. The highter your
friendship, the less they will cost though.
Synthesis
---------------------------------------
[SYNTH]
Unlike the more well known games by Gust, Mana Khemia and Atelier
Iris, where synthesis was less of a focus, this game revolves around
the workshop being saved through synthesis. The game gives you a
decent tutorial for what synthesis is so I will skip to the details.

HP to Synth

Like Skills in battle, crafting takes a certain amount of HP per |
|synth. When Rorona drops below 1, her fail rate increases. You can
|
|restore her HP with items or by sleeping on the couch in her workshop. |
|As sleeping takes up valuable time, I suggest using items.
|

|
Synthesis Takes Time
|
|=======================================================================|
|
Unlike Atelier Iris, where time didn't exist, Rorona is all about |
|time managment. Every synthesis takes time to craft and can easily make|
|you miss your deadlines, SO BE CAREFUL.

|
Categories
|
|=======================================================================|
|
Cooking, Ore, Liquid, etc. Every item fits into one of these
|
|categories. Certain recipes may call for [Plant] and all items with
|
|this category can be used. Overall this is not important, but when a |
|merchant or Sterk use this information, it can be vital.
|

|=======================================================================|
|
Synthesis Level
|
|=======================================================================|
|
Every synthesis has a level to it, which determines Rorona's
|
|success rate. The higher the level, the more likely you are to fail. |
|You can fix this by crafting often, as every synthesis increases her |
|Alchemy Level (which is seperate from her Adventuring Level, unlike Hom|
|who only has an Alchemy Level). When synthing, the success rate will be|
|listed on the screen. Certain item traits such as 'Simple' can help you|
|make harder items while traits like 'Complex' can make them harder.

Finally, the Quality formula is a complex one and I'm not going to
try and figure it out and explain it to everyone. I am not a math
genius. Your best option is to average the level of your ingredients.
The formula works out to a little more than this, but better safe than
sorry.

3. ENDING REQUIREMENTS

This game is ALL about the endings. Because of this, I have put the
requirements for each ending all the way up here. Sure you can play
through and forget all about this, but your success of getting any
character endings is rare.

There are two factors that influence your ending:
Popularity
- Town popularity from Esty's Quests
Kingdom Assessment
- Assignments given by Sterk
When I refer to stars in Kingdom Assessments, I am refering to the
BOTTOM most set of stars. Every assignment can earn you up to 10 stars,
but as the best ending only requires 94 out of 120 you don't need to
bother getting more than 8 stars. A breakdown of the stars follows:
1-2 stars = failure
3-5 stars = 1 big star
6-7 stars = 2 big stars
8-10 stars = 3 big stars
Other than dialogue the individual assignments don't matter, only the
total.
There are four basic endings, not counting character or special

endings. Here is the breakdown:

If you go over on the assignment stars there is no way to go back.

Esty's quests, on the other hand, can be accepted and failed for a 5% loss.
When I say failed, I mean the dot goes black and Esty automatically cancels
it, this will happen a few days after the deadline passes.
When it comes to endings, there is a priority as follows:

Adventurer's Ending
Character Endings
Pie Ending
Rich Ending
Generic Endings
For details on each ending, see below in the Character and Other
Endings sections. There I will detail what you need to do.

4. CHARACTER ENDINGS

Every character requires a generic ending matching their ending
requirements and their character flag be triggered. I will list the
requiremented generic ending below in each characters section, but you
will need to reference the above section to see each generic endings
requirements.
For example:
Cordelia requires you to get her flag and a True Ending.
------------------------------------------------------------------------Although you can only trigger one generic ending at a time, you can
trigger multiple character flags in one playthrough, but doing so may
cause issues with seeing the ending you want because the character with
the highest friendship is seen with the ending.
For example:
Lionela's friendship is 100 and Gio's is 80. You have the
requirements met for True Ending. Because Lionela's friendship is higher
you will see her in the ending instead of Gios. The only problem is that
her ending requires Normal Ending stats. This means that you will not see
Gio or Lionela's, but the generic True Ending (with Lionela inserted
in because she had the highest friendship).
This is great if you are going for Generic Endings, but causes a problem
when you want Character Endings. A way to solve this problem is to drop
a character's friendship below the other by accepting and cancelling
friends quests.
------------------------------------------------------------------------The benefit of triggering multiple flags though, comes from being able to
complete two Character Endings with one simple save.
For Example:
You wish to get Lionela and Tantris' endings at the same time
because they both require Normal Ending requirements. All you have to do
is trigger both their flags and save before in the last month of the
final assignment. The character with the highest friendship (given
that no character with a different ending requirement is highest) will be

need to do is reload your save and drop the friendship of the one whose
ending you saw below the other and you can see the new one.

This guide is broken up into assignment sections. Within the
sections I only mention dated events. In between events you can do
whatever you want. If a new area unlocks I suggest visiting it. ALWAYS
read the whole section for tips at the bottom of the individual section
BEFORE you play through it. These are events you should look out for
within each section, but can occur whenever. It's always better to know
what you are getting into so you don't feel lost.
MAKE A SAVE AT THE START OF EVERY ASSIGNMENT! This is for people who
want to make sure they don't screw something up.

Yes, there is a backstory and no you won't remember it by the end of

the game. To sum it up, the kingdom was not technologically advanced
until "machines" were discovered and a traveling alchemist showed
everyone how to use them. Now everyone is lazy and the alchmists
reward was the workshop you will be saving (only many many years later).

- Meet Iksel, who will be vital in adventuring your first couple months
since he is one of the few healers in the game. The major items you
will be purchasing off him are Flour, Salt and even Quest items
(depending on your money - New Game+ or not).

| - Spend all the time between the 15th and the 19th in the forest and |

| - Fight every monster in an area before moving on since each area

is a set time, rather than a running clock. This means you can
|
|
spend anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes in an area at a single |
|
cost. This also means you need to be careful when clicking
|
|
destinations.

|
|
| - When in doubt, throw an Uni. These things are worthless for
|
|
synthesis, but really good damage in early gameplay.
|
|
|
| - Don't be afraid to use your skills, especially with Iksel around. |
|
While they do cost HP, the cost is a lot less than the damage
|
|
enemies will deal. The faster the battles, the better and Iksel
|
|
can heal back the HP cost easily.
|
|
|
| - Guard when given the option. This isn't because Rorona is a
|
|
weakling. The simple fact is that guarding equals half damage. It |
|
is better for someone to take half damage than someone (in this
|
|
case Rorona) take full damage. This will help you with managing
|
|
damage. The other side to this is using support to attack. If the |
|
attack will finish off an enemy, do it. This falls under the same |
|
reasons as Skills

the bottom of the request. While you don't have to meet the bonus
objective, doing so will let you spin the roulette wheel. This is an
easy system to master and can award you with Tickets or extra cole.
The tickets can be turned in for nice items, but the cole is always

8. PLAYTHROUGHS

This section is designed to help you with getting as many trophies
as possible in as few saves/new games as possible. When I say SAVES, I
mean new files. LOADS, on the other hand, are loaded from the above save.

| MAIN SAVE - ASTRID'S ENDING |

- Focus on getting Astrid's Ending and Adventuring Ending. This means
keeping Cordelia with you 24/7. I suggest using Coredlia and Iksel
since you will need to go to every "dungeon" with him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------NOTES: The main guide will walk you through every event needed to get
Astrid's Ending. Simply follow it and save on the last assignment.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- Work towards 88 stars by assignment 12 (8 per assignment).
- Do as many Front Quests as you can until you reach 80% town popularity.
You can choose to get 100 is you need the trophy and drop it back to 80
later.
- Do Friend Requests as much as possible by checking every 4 days.
- Get all the NPC's to 100 friendship so it will be easy to drop it
when needed for different endings. If they are 30 points apart, it
is hard to drop one enough to get the other. If they are both 100 one
cancelled request will allow you to see they other characters.

There is also a sub section for character endings in which the person
with the highest friendship is selected. This means that if Cordelia
is selected, but you are trying for a Normal Ending with Lionela, you
will need to drop Cordelia's friendship below Lionela's. In general
I suggest you drop everyone below who your are trying to get the
ending for so you don't have to watch all the scenes again if someone
is still above the desired person. The good news, is that you can get
generic endings by matching a character with the wrong generic ending.
In other words, you can match Cordelia and Normal Ending to get the
Generic Normal Ending instead of Tantris or Lionela.

- Do lots of Front Quests. Wholesale items like Dark Pie, Piemeteor,
Pielixir and take a lot of them to Esty (You get more than you will
buy them for). Esty's quests usually get stuck, offering what you
already have in your inventory.
- Make every pie as soon as possible.
- Match any Generic Ending with a character who doesn't fit it.
For example, if Cordelia has the highest friendship, you don't want
to trigger the True Ending or you will get Cordelia's Ending. Get
Normal or Good Ending with her at the highest friendship (like
we did for generic endings earlier) and you will get the Pie Ending.

9. REQUESTS
[REQ09]
=========================================================================
The first thing you should know about requests are that the NPC's
won't ask for an item until you have access to make it. This does not
always mean you will have the recipe though. The reason I say this is
that a dungeon may unlock that has a chest with a recipe book. Due to
the fact that it is now available, NPC's will start asking for it.
The other thing you should know is that this same principle applies
to pies. If you bake a Plain Pie, unlocking the new Cream Pie, you may
find yourself getting requests for them even though Traveler's Way is
not available (the place where you get Milky Sap).
Due to these circumstances, never accept a job unless you know that
you have the ingredients (for weapons and armor, check the ingot Hagel
needs before accepting so that you know you can make the ingot). For
everything else, you can use the provided "Contemplate" option.

TIPS:
- Making a lot of these items should be easy and you can
Register them for later use.
- BEWARE: Unlike Cordelia's Madame's Dress (which is only 40+ and can

so unless you sent Hom or searched Catacombs a lot, you may
lack the items to make them.
- BEWARE: If you unlocked the Ster Highlands on 6/15 due to Pamela's
event, you will probably lack the recipe for Tera Bomb and
Bunny Tail. You will also not have the ingredients for Gio's

- BEWARE: Speaking of not having ingredients, Pamela's Angel Staff and

Esty's Front Quests

While Esty gives you access to certain Front Quests, not all are worth
doing. Below I have broken all items up into sections of when they first
appear, so although Audra Tail's show up in the first month, you may see
them in years to follow with a Bonus Requirement. The Locations/Tips
column serves the purpose of letting you know if the item is worth it and
if so, where that item first appears/most common.
- In some cases I may recommend a purchase, but this is for
players with extra money or in their New Game+
- I am not adding Bounty kills. For all normal mobs the bonus
is defeating 20+ and the Boss enemies can show up at any time on the
list.
