sessions
about achieving the basics of healthy eating. A NHS nutritionist introduced the concept
of ‘Eat well Plate’ and revealed that a balanced diet could protect the heart and
cardiovascular system.

On 15 September and 22 September, the health advisers from Cooperative Community

Action in Nottingham mentioned that being physically activity was a way of living
healthily. They also encouraged the audiences to take more exercises and suggested that
they could join the fitness classes at Nottingham leisure centres at a discount rate. The
health advisers said that poor food could increase the risk of serious illness.

So far NCWA has received very positive feedback from both the guest speakers and our
members. We welcome all members to come and attend the sessions on Tuesday
afternoons.
