GENERAL

PROJECT INCLUDES:

Soil treatment for termite control for slab-on-grade structures and crawl
spaces.

The Contractor shall employ the services of a professional pesticide

applicator licensed by Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority Department of
Agriculture.

WARRANTY
All termite control works shall be guaranteed for a period of five (5) years before
final acceptance by the Owner and the Project Manager.

PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1

MATERIALS
Soil treatment materials that bear Federal registration number of U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and acceptable to authorities having
jurisdiction.

Recommended termite control is Dursban TC as manufactured by Dow Elanco
or approved equal.

1ST Treatment: - Effective pre-construction subterranean termites control

requires the establishment of an unbroken vertical and /or horizontal
termiticide barrier between the structure and the termite colonies in the
soil. Treatment of footing must be done before pouring of concrete at a
rate of 4 liters of emulsion mix per sq. meter.

2nd Treatment: - Soil treatment to the floor slab shall be applied before
pouring of concrete.

Application: - Apply termicide emulsion mix at the rate of 4 liters per sq.
meter over the entire floor slab area. Please note that all plumbing
areas will be treated at the rate of 4 liters of emulsion mix per sq. meter.
After treating the designed area, allow termicide to dry for 30 minutes
then immediately cover the sprayed area with polyethylene sheet and
then pour the concrete. This should be done in the same day. However,
should it rain after the treatment, immediately cover the treated area
with polyethylene sheet. The concrete should be poured within 24-36
period.

3rd Treatment: - When the building is erected, the walls and roof
completed, before concrete sidewalk is poured, adjacent to the building
structure, dig 4 to 6 width and up to 12 in depth, if aggregate soil
allows. Trench around the perimeter of structure and flood with
termicide emulsion mix to create an exterior termicide barrier from
termites in the soil and the structure, at the rate of 7 liters of emulsion
mix per 3 linear meters.

Termicide: For 5 years warranty soil may be treated with a 1% emulsion

mix. Mix 1 liter of Dursban TC in 49 liters of water.

Application shall be as per manufacturers recommendation.

HOLLOW BLOCK TREATMENT

Hollow block construction will be treated at a rate of 7 liters of emulsion mix
per 3 linear meter in all hollow cells before concrete grout is poured. This
application will be performed when the block wall reaches the floor slab
grade. Application shall be as per manufacturers recommendation.
