IUopTERMINATE DELAY SoucHT BY RESPoNDENT Is UNwARRANTED

While a continuance because of illness or a death in the family of counsel or a

party should generally be granted, such delays are for fixed times. Any filing
deadline, hearing, or

trial is moved to a date'certain. Respondent asks that the

instant matter be put on hold "until Respondent's family situation is resolved." No

one knows when that might be.

Respondent is currently suing Mr. Hoge is this Court (Case No. 13C-15-102498 OT), and he continues to prosecute that case. He was present for a

hearing before Judge Kramer on 3 June,2015. Respondent is also the plaintiff in a

suit in the U. S. District Court for District of Maryland (Case No. 15-CV-01241-

RDB) which he is vigorously pursuing. Respondent has not asked for any delays for

filings or hearings in those matters. He is only seeks a delay in this case where he
is the Respondent rather than a plaintiff.

Justice delayed is justice denied. Respondent has been the subject of two
previous Peace Orders protecting Mr. Hoge granted by the Circuit Court for Carroll

County. He continues his harassment of Mr. Hoge, and Mr. Hoge seeks expeditious

should be denied.

However, if the Court should grant a continuance,

it should

also issue a

from harassing, stalking, or contacting Mr. Hoge. The Peace Order should also

prohibit Respondent from contacting Mr. Hoge's place of employment: Goddard

WunnrroRE, Mr. Hoge asks that the Respondent's motion for a delay be
denied or, alternatively, that a Temporary Peace Order (as described, supra)be
issued protecting Mr. Hoge for the term of any continuance granted. Mr. Hoge also
asks for such other relief as the Court may find just and proper.
