THE FATHERHOOD CYCLE

April 8, 2012

4 years: "My Daddy can do anything."

7 years: "My Dad knows a lot, a whole lot."
12 years: "Oh, well - naturally - Father doesn't know that
either."
14 years: "Father? Hopelessly old-fashioned."
21 years: "Oh, that man is so out-of-date. What did you
expect?"

25 years: "He knows a little bit about it - but not much."

30 years: "Maybe we ought to find out what Dad thinks."
35 years: "Let's ask Dad what he would do before we make a
decision."

Fathers Day is a special day to honor the men we call

Dad. Dads are hard workers who not only have busy
lives and busy jobs, but a great responsibility at home.
God expects our fathers to be the spiritual head of our
homes, and he expects them to pass their faith onto
their children. Fathers are human, and even the best of
them make mistakes. But we can take comfort in the
fact that we also have a Heavenly Father who is
perfect and has promised to never leave us or forsake
us.

50 years: "My Dad knew absolutely everything."
60 years: "I'd give anything if Dad were here so I could talk
this over with him. I really miss that man."

If you have old white dress shirts that you no longer

wear hanging in your closet or in storage totes, we
would like for you to donate them for VBS! We will use
these for lab coat (Any size). We ask that you save
your 2 liter bottles for us. We will also need
donations of 2 liters drinks, cookies & chips to
feed the children during VBS! Thank you in advance
for your help!

In a few weeks we will be ordering

the new Sunday School
Commentary. This is a hardback
book with the Sunday School
Lesson for a whole year. The new
church year begins in September
so the lessons run from September
2015 through August 2016. The
cost of a Commentary is $15.95 +
shipping. If you would like to get
one of these, Put your name on the
sign-up sheet on the bulletin board
and indicate how many you want to
order.

Our 2015 Vacation Bible School-Son Spark Labsis scheduled for July 12 17. Be sure to mark your
calendars now. You dont want to miss it.
We want to encourage everyone to help your
children Pre-Register for Vacation Bible School on
the Church website.
You can go to www.russellvillechurchofgod.org and
click on pre-registration for Vacation Bible School at
the top of the page. Fill out the form so that they will
be pre-registered. Children, invite your friends to
come with you. They can also pre-register on the
website!
Son Spark Labs promises to be a lot of fun while
learning Biblical truths!
There are cards on the table in the foyer for you to
hand out in your neighborhood and to your friends.
