CONTENT STANDARD: The learners demonstrate understanding how the Church began through the help of the Holy Spirit.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learners able to appreciate the early beginnings of the Church and be able to respond as active members of the
community by taking part in the community

The Church founded by Jesus grew and spread through the efforts of the apostles and their successors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It stresses that Jesus is the light of
humanity and the apostles to bring that light to all humankind. Though the Church is rocked by many difficulties, she overcomes all these. The Church
is indeed a solid rock that continues
to grow, spread, and withstand the test of time.

TRANSFER GOAL
Join the parish or the family in the bible sharing activity as active members of the community through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
OVERARCHING ENDURING UNDERSTANDING (EU)
On the day of Pentecost, the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit and they began to make bold proclamations about Jesus Christ. The Church who
originated from the Holy Trinity was established and continued to grow.
OVERARCHING ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
1. What distinguishing characteristics does the Church have?
2. How can you help the Church light up the path and spread the message of salvation?
LEARNING COMPETENCIES
A. KNOWLEDGE (DOCTRINE)
The church originated from the Holy Trinity. The church continues to journey towards the Kingdom of God.
B. SKILLS (MORALS AND WORSHIP)
Spread the Good News to others and follow the example of Jesus in the Church.
Thank God for continuously guiding and strengthening the Church.
